Earlier tonight, my wife and I placed a delivery order through the Pizza Hut app for a Big New Yorker pizza and an order of chicken wings. When the order arrived, there were just wings - no pizza. Apparently, this Pizza Hut uses Doordash for their delivery instead of employing their own delivery drivers. We contacted the driver, who told us that Pizza Hut had not given her a pizza when she went to pick up the order. (The driver had also taken a confirmation photo of the order sitting on our porch - showing only wings and no pizza.) After that, we tried several times to call the store but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. So I decided to drive out to the store to get help with the issue.
When I got there, I was greeted by a young lady working at the front cash register. I told her that I had only gotten part of my order. She looked confused and said that she had put the order together herself. I responded that I had the photo of the order that was left on my porch, that the driver said that she didn't have a pizza to give us. At this point, her coworker - a young gentleman - heard about the situation and immediately said to me, very "pointedly," and several times, "That's impossible. That's impossible."
I responded that it was not impossible, tried to show the screenshot, and I mentioned what the driver had told us about not getting a pizza from them. He then told me that we had selected contactless delivery, and because of that, Pizza Hut wasn't responsible for us not getting our pizza. I said that I just wanted either the pizza I paid for or a refund for it. Both employees told me that there was nothing they could do. I asked, "You really can't do anything at all?" And the lady employee said no.
The gentleman repeated to me that they aren't responsible, and that it was my fault for selecting contactless delivery. I said that I just wanted what I paid for, I wanted my money back. He then told that if I said that again, or if I didn't leave, he was going to call the police and have me arrested for trespassing.
I let the customers waiting behind me go ahead of me, as I started trying to look up Pizza Hut's policy regarding contactless delivery. The gentleman employee told me again that I had to leave, because they needed to help the people behind me (who I had just let go ahead of me), and again threatened to call the police. I replied that I would leave momentarily.
At this point, I think the lady employee said something to the gentleman to convince him to call someone about the issue, presumably a manager. He then spoke to this person on the phone about the situation, and even though I wasn't able to find any information about Pizza Hut's contactless delivery policy, I decided to wait and hear the outcome of the phone call.
But.
After the gentleman got off the phone, he simply stood behind the counter and stared at me (while other customers were being helped by the lady employee). I decided to ask, "What'd you find out?" He responded by asking me why I was still there, and I told him that I'd heard him talking about me on the phone and was wondering what the person had said.
He replied, "They said don't order contactless delivery," To which I replied, "Anything else?" to which he replied, "Don't order contactless delivery."
I told him that by "else," I meant something different, and that he'd said the same thing again, so had they said anything else? He just replied, "I dunno" a few times before saying that if we continued to select contactless delivery, they wouldn't deliver to us anymore. Flabbergasted by the assumption that we'd ever order any kind of delivery from them again, I replied, "I don't think that's something you need to worry about." He then once more threatened to call the police, and I gave in. I told him to have a good night, he told me he didn't care about my "review" (which, ironically, Iprobably wouldn't have even thought to do until he said that), and before finally walking out, I suggested that he work on being less rude to people.
The chicken wings were...
Read moreI had ordered pizza and I have been ordering from this pizzahut for going on two years. Today I ordered and waited three hours,. I called them to see what was going on and decided to record how rachett they were omg. The Brandi lady was foul she was told by myself to be a lil more poliet and professional about her speaking with customers as I was nice and respectful to her she hung up the phone. Miss Brandi didn't hang up the phone before that when I told her I was recording her. Than she was to saying the driver stated my home was abandoned and boards all over windows you name it. I suggested i come in and get the pizza myself she said in her rachett set of lungs we close at 10 doors are closed now I looked at clock it was 934 not 10 pm. Well when she hung up on me i called again and she tosses another team player on the phone and he states my address well which low and behold was correct and starts blabbing off on how policy this that and another refuses to give me his name. The Brandi lady is heard screaming in the back on recording which in pretty sure customers are hearing her in the building cause the doors are not closed yet. Totally obscene and rude much less liars and thieves. If there was a error with the address which wasnt they said it back several times no problem there should have been a call to me to specify all specifics but there wasn't even a call nothing. They were just rude obscene rachett and sad. Yes they were all recorded. But there was no driver like they stated not one time speaking. Don't lie at a place of employment be honest. When you are a employee act professional and with respect I can understand if I was disrespectful in any way but I wasnt. It's ok papajohns to the rescue. They were great and they came to the house that was supposably abandoned. Sorry for any grammer messups my auto correct is aweful on my phone. Wish the guy who delivered my pizza thru the pizzahut was the original one coming out today I wish the original workers I've delt with we're the ones who worked on our meal not the ones who did...
