The stars are based solely on the service. The food is pretty good. The service is horrible, absolutely horrible. My wife, kids, and myself all love sushi. We actually went to Sushi Club twice this week because we were craving it again. We went earlier in the week and were treated very rudely from the moment we walked in. The first time we went this we had 6 kids with us (age 8-15). It was like they were doing us a favor by seating us and we were a bother to them that we had 8 ppl with us ($160+ for dinner). We asked for a refill on a couple drinks and were responded to very quickly with “That’s extra”. Ok that’s fine, but it’s like it was another bother to them. Not one time did they ask if we needed anything, we always had to wave someone down then they would either giggle and walk off, or blow their breath out in frustration....I have 5 kids. I get enough of that at home. Anyway, We blew it off as they were having a bad day and gave them the Benefit of the doubt. We went back today hoping for a better outcome with the service and the same good sushi. The sushi did not disappoint but the service was worse than before. We only had 1 kid with us this time so it wasn’t the large group that they didn’t like...maybe they just don’t like people eating their food... Today it took 30 mins to take our order, at the 30 min mark my wife walked the menu up to the counter because we had been ignored multiple times. They literally won’t make eye contact with you unless they want to speak to you. 45 minutes after that we had our food (after asking a few different times how it was coming and watching hand gestures made in our direction and some verbiage I don’t understand). Finally were ready for the check. The male owner came out and I asked him if we could please have it...at that time he literally looked under napkins on our plates to make sure we weren’t hiding any sushi (if you leave more that 7 pieces you pay an EXTRA $1 each). We didn’t leave more than 7. It was obvious...but good thing he checked. I then tried to explain to him at checkout how rude the staff had been during our dinner....his response...”I trying to run a business “. Ok then you may want to listen to the customer... Anyway, that’s my feedback. The sushi is good but I’ve had better service at Dicks...
Read moreI've never had a bad experience every in my entire life and i eat out a lot, not only that i have a business in food service as well and i could not believe how me and my husband were treated by the "manager". He was SO RUDE we had the all you can eat menu and ordered quiet alot of food. We hadn't eaten all day so we were hungry. He kept telling us several times if we didn't finish we were going to have to pay. We said okay.. that's not a problem, so confused. He brought us only half of what we ordered and didn't want to bring the rest because he said we wouldn't finish it and would have to pay.. We felt so uncomfortable at this point and my husband nicely told him to bring the rest. He brought it to us SO ANGRY now. We finished eating and left 2 small pieces and a little rice on the plate. This man came to our table and threw the plate with the little rice and was screaming and said, "I have you guys on camera you guys left rice and was saying he was going to post us on tik Tok and screaming and was saying words in his language, most likely cussing us out.. I turn around and look at my husband and wasn't sure if we wanted to laugh, tell this man a few words or what. We were just so shocked at his behavior. I've read bad reviews before but honestly never think anything about them because i had never gone through this before. And let me tell you it feels awful , it sucks because me and my husband were so exhausted from working all day all we wanted was a nice dinner and we left this place. Speechless, uncomfortable and upset. My husband told the "manager" it was too bad we had liked the food but we were never coming back, he laughed and said that's okay. I will never come back to this place nor i recommend it to anyone. Nobody deserves to be...
Read moreThis place used to be friendly and amazing. Now it takes an act of Congress just to flag down a waitress, and then half the time you still have to get up and get your own menu or remind them of your request. Often the waitresses are not assigned tables so your not even sure who to flag down or who is going to bring the drinks/menus/or whatever it is you have requested.
Here is the deal, and it really is reasonable, $19.99 Tuesday thru Thursday, and $21.99 on the weekend for all you can eat. Don't share all you can eat with people ordering from the regular menu, or they will be charged, and don't wrap and put it in your purse. This doesn't include drinks. Order what you can eat because they will charge you $1 per piece left after 7 peices, and $2 per piece that you want to take home.
Now, I have absolutely no problem with the rules, we order a larger first round, and smaller rounds after that. Where I have an issue is when they make an obvious mistake and bring me out a disgustingly sweet mango roll when I ordered a spicy roll, blame it on me, and then tell me if I refuse to eat it, I will be charged full price for it. I didn't order it! I ordered everything else, just not that one. I want my other roll. In the past they would have apologized and fixed their mistake, but not tonight.
I have been a long time patron of this place. In the past 2 years I have reached my max of what I can take. I am glad their business has grown, and their tables are always full on the weekends, but I've been here since no one knew about them bc it was still just "that weird sushi place in the old pizza hut building."
Well, now you've lost my business. And probably the business of everyone I know. It may not matter to you, but it...
