On November 17th at approximately 1130am, I was awaiting my flight when I decided I would stop in for a quick bite to eat at Tinker Coffee right next to Spirit Airlines. I had seen many people walk in to the restaurant area and have a seat so I proceeded to do so myself. Upon walking in to sit down at a table (where there were plenty of seats/tables), I was stopped by an employee (Rachael) who appeared to be on break as I arrived at the table I was going to sit at. She looked up at me and with attitude stated "Are you here with anyone?, then please wait to be seated" and pointed at the sign that I apparently missed when I walked in. I was shocked by the way she was talking to me like i was just the abomination of the universe for missing the sign, and then as soon as i walked back to the front, immediately another waiter told me I could go ahead and sit where I would like...I watched several people afterwards walk in and sit themselves, one couple sitting at the table DIRECTLY next to this employee, and the employee said nothing to anyone else. Being even more annoyed now, I discussed my concerns with the "manager" Makayla and she told me she would talk to her. Approximately 15 minutes passed and I overheard the two talking just a couple of feet away from me. The only thing that was done was the rude employee (Rachael) was asked what had happened and then they went on their way. I finished my food and left to go stand in line for my flight. As I'm standing in line for my flight, I overhear laughing from the restaurant. I look over and Rachael (the rude employee) is laughing with her coworkers for what I'm assuming was about the situation. I sat there and listened for a minute and i hear "ya that's him right over there", as she points at me. They all continued laughing and talking about how the situation was funny right in front of other customers. I ignored them and moved on with my flight, however, what kind of customer service is that to be so bluntly rude to a paying customer who simply just didn't see the sign, single only me out for some reason, and then sit there and point and laugh at said customer when they leave, boasting about how you got away with being so rude? Where is the management? Where is the accountability? If i did this growing up at my minimum wage job I would have been dropped on the spot. Absolutely...
Read moreI just had the best coffee buying experience of my entire life. Avery at the coffee counter is AMAZINGGGGG!!! She was so good at recommendations (recommend the 5 spice latte and it was SO yummerzz). She was very kind and patient with not only me but all the people she was helping around me. I will forever go back to Tinker coffee inside the airport at concourse A to see Avery. If she’s not there I will then search the other tinker coffee at concourse B to see if I can find her. She’s truly fantastic. Made me feel like a queen during my travel experience. I really hope this young women is making a livable wage. #TIPYOURBARISTAS and also PAY THEM MORE!!! At dark times like these all we can ask for is positive community in the small moments. I might ask my rich father to donate money to tinker coffee just so these young people can lead better lives. Long live Avery. Long...
Read moreI absolutely cannot believe I just spent $7 on a single origin cup of coffee that they turned around and poured from a drip tank. Are you kidding? Were these beans picked on a missionary trip? Y’all tryna recoup costs on your investment?
The nicest places in Manhattan wouldn’t pull this BS on you. Hope your business fails 🤙
Really sweet staff though.
Reply: Yeah no that was 100% meant to be demeaning. Thousands of small business’s need support, I’d rather support the ones that don’t cut corners. Are you paying your workers $25 an hour? Is there a gratuity built into that going directly into your baristas pockets? I’ve quite literally never seen a cup of coffee be that expensive. This is specifically why I’ve left working for business’s like yours. Look at your reviews, you’re getting hammered!?
Ima delete this for sure. But...
