I drop and pick my wife up from this airport about 2-3 times per quarter.
Its quite obvious that the airport has no plan and no training for the people they have directing the arrivals curbside pickup. In fact this change they've enacted has made traffic worse and causes many more problems from my experience. I've had more close calls with fender benders than I have ever before.
On 12/20/2024 I was attempting to pick my wife up. It was a very busy time and there were lots of vehicles. I saw my wife on the curbide right by the pedestrian bridge. I attempted to pull in and pick her up. The people "directing" traffic asked me to pull up a little farther since there was room in front of me. I complied. I attempted to stop and wait for my wife to walk the few feet down the sidewalk to get to the car. There were 2 more "directors" that started yelling to take a lap. I tried to tell them I was directed to come down here and I just had to wait for my wife to walk down. One gentleman went on an absolute power trip yelling that I had been asked "multiple times" to move. I asked if he was a cop and he was going to ticket me for complying with their instructions. All he continued to do was yell to take a lap. So I was forced to take a lap even though my pick up was right on the side walk and trying to get to me. All from their direction.
After finally getting my wife she stated they weren't even letting people come to a complete stop before yelling at them to take a lap around. There was even in-fighting amongst their own about it. We both asked where to file a complaint and of course no one seemed to know. So here it is on google! I will be searching the website to try and file a more official one as well.
These occurrences are common place in my experience over the last year. Zero plan or training. Zero ability to use rational thought. Employees on power trips getting to pretend they are police. Do better Indianapolis International! This current system is completely unacceptable and causing you more problems than...
Read moreI like the new design of the airport. I used to get so confused and lost in the old Indy airport because was a Labyrinth. Now it's much more wide and open and I feel free to do as I please. The floor is also really soft if you're looking for a place to take a nap. 10/ 10 recommend. They also have nice windows to stare outside with. TSA is also extremely fast and i never have issues with them or luggage. I think this is the best airport in the Midwest/ US!!!

Read moreThe woman in airport security was so rude to everyone. I just left a funeral and she was belittling people and you couldn’t even think before she had something rude to say. Every airport is different and she is representing Indianapolis to a lot of people. She was a Black girl wearing a mask at 8:30am on 6/30/24 concourses A and B - where you load the bins at security. The man before me was asking about if he needs to take out his laptop which she ignored him after saying something rude to him. And I was also confused by that because in other airports you always are required to take it out. So we just didn’t take them out because she was so rude that we weren’t even sure what was happening. Also, I’m not used to having to put my bigger luggage in a bin and she kept repeating it over and over and over like I was stupid. I asked if she was okay because it was like she was attempting to humiliate me for no reason at all, I was trying to quietly just go through security after an emotional and exhausting funeral weekend. Unnecessary. She was also actually laughing at people in the line with her coworker. I cannot believe just anyone can be security at this place. Very troubling. People weren’t sure how the “lanes” worked for loading the bins which she was very rude and condescending as well, it kinda just shook people up. I don’t think she should be in charge of an important role like security. It was like she was trying to ruin people’s day and it felt like this weird verbal abuse from a stranger just attacking anyone coming through the line. How disgraceful for this airport and Indiana. Additionally they were checking so many people’s bags when it was a super slow/empty line and it was like they were checking my travel soaps, someone had a deck of cards, a charger, it was really over the top. I really was amazed with how terrible their security was. I’ll avoid this place and let...
