As a frequent business traveler, that I have to travel during peak hours, I like to travel for person on off-peak hours. On this personal trip, this restaurant is the first thing you see in the B concourse after entering security, at 12:20pm. There was a manager-like person standing at the host desk waiting (no customers, fidgeting with the menus), but when I headed toward his direction, he immediately walked away and I was left standing at the host desk for several minutes (2-3) while he was just a few feet away chatting with a server. Finally, I was greeted and seated by another staff memeber, not by management, nor from wait staff.
It took over eight minutes to be acknowledged, not very kindly, by a server and another six minutes to receive a bowl of soup and side salad ordered. When the salad arrived, I had several pieces of wilted/ turned lettuce sitting right on top. The soup was tasty, but to leave wilted leaves right on top doesn't show that the staff is attentive to details.
So it was to no surprise, while seated, I was only checked on once, just to see if I was finished. And after finishing my meal, which was just okay overall, I was quickly handed my bill without asking and felt rushed to leave.
I would certainy hate to see how it would be of it were...
Read moreThought this would live up to the quality of Harry and Izzie's or St. Elmo's but do not let their association confuse you. My partner ordered a salad and shrimp cocktail and she received the wrong side. I ordered the Sweet Tea Fried Chicken which should be called Sweet Fried Chicken Tenders. Tiny strips of chicken that were incredibly over breaded. I dont know if it was undercooked or they just didn't prep the chicken properly but the breading didn't stick to the chicken. The breading just slid off when you bit into it and there was wet dough inside. When I got my food it only had the fried chicken and the potatoes. When I inquired where the slaw was the waitress just said they were out of cole slaw. I asked what I could get substituted and she said they would not give me another side. They then charged me full price for the incomplete meal. Will never eat here again. There's much better restaurants to eat at the Indy airport which will be easier on your...
Read moreThe experience at 1933 Lounge was ruined by the unprofessional conduct of the female manager. We approached the male host to be seated and without any explanation the manager stepped in and took over. Instead of letting the host do his job, she began reworking the entire seating chart on the spot, making mistakes in plain view and rambling as she went. While we stood there waiting, she commented that they had “just been slammed” as if that excused the disorganization she was actively creating. This was not a display of leadership. It was a display of poor judgment, lack of composure, and an inability to manage efficiently in front of customers. In an airport setting where time matters, the manager should be streamlining the process, not disrupting it. Her actions slowed everything down, created confusion, and left a negative impression that overshadowed the rest...
