While travelling south, we found ourselves stranded. This pizza ranch was withing "walk through the blowing snow" distance, so we decided to check it out. We have a pizza ranch where we are from, but THIS place took my already elevated expectations and threw them out the window.
We were greeted by one of the friendliest faces a have seen in all my time, from running restaurants to eating in them. Molly S, who asked if we had any requests since business had been slow on account of the storm. I'm not picky so I just reqeusted a chefs choice pizza with stuffed crust.
Oh my did this crew deliver. The food was incredible, with every option we thought we could ever need to pass an hour or two while waiting for thw weather. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. The food quality was closely monitored, and every request was met with an incredible attitude, we were treated in such a way that i was for the first time wondering what else i could possibly need, and even felt comfortable enough to ask for it.
Molly is incredible, the business itself would have been a standard pizza ranch experience, but her actions alone made this one of the best experiences i have had in any chain restaurant, EVER.
Great job to Molly and the team at the Indianola, IA...
Read moreMy family and I went to pizza ranch on a Wednesday night a few weeks ago. We are pretty “frequent flyers” here and tend to eat here several times a month. Today’s experience was beyond disappointing. I’ve never had worse food than that day’s experience. The chicken was so dry, you had to take a drink with every bite just to get it to go down. I ordered a pineapple pizza that only had two pieces of pineapple on each slice. It was pathetic the pizza they brought out to us, with cheddar shredded cheese and not mozzarella. The salad bar was a complete disaster and looked like a toddler threw it together the morning of. The food was subpar and not to mention the amount of flies in the restaurant was appalling. The food looked like it sat there all day. The customer service wasn’t anything to shake a stick at either. The teenager bussing the tables was rude and inconsiderate of people eating and had no table manners. “Can I take this?”, she would say without care of response. I’m sure there wasn’t a person over the age of 20 in there. We never saw a manager that night like we usually do. Had we seen a manger I wouldn’t be writing this review today. We are completely and utterly disappointed in the service, food and all around environment of...
Read moreThe nephew loves this place so we end up here several times a year. Pizza is average, but the chicken is awesome! Buffet for everything, but you can request a special pizza and they will bring it by your table first to grab a slice.
Salad bar with a good variety, including a couple of soups, pasta salads, coleslaw, plus the lettuce and toppings.
Chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, gravy, fries, corn at another buffet station.
Pizza Station has breadsticks and sometimes pasta along with 5 or 6 pizza flavors.
Dessert choices of ice cream, cookie bars, and several flavors of dessert pizza.
For 2 adults and a kid it is $30. Then we go and spend $20 in the attached arcade called the Fun Zone. Still a good price for an hour of fun and everyone can find something they like to eat.
Staff friendly and prompt with table cleaning....
