Coffee Landing Cafe — Restaurant in International Falls

Nice breakfast spot and coffee shop just up the road from Ranier. A popular establishment with friendly service, and delicious options. I highly recommend it, especially if you're staying in Ranier, and would like to eat before 11 AM.

I had an iced chai, which was good, but a little sweet for my tastes. I also had the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits almost seemed scone-like, and were very good. The sausage gravy was excellent, and had a nice peppery bite to it. Came with an egg over easy.

The atmosphere was cozy, but a bit snug with the amount of traffic at the time. The noise was a bit much for me, but was fine with my earplugs in. (I have sensory challenges that make me a bit sensitive to certain sounds/volume.)

After walking Tilson Bay Bogwalk and Oberholtzer Trail Saturday morning/afternoon, 5/10/2025, my party of 4 was hungry.

I ate at Coffee Landing Cafe several years ago and suggested we go there for a light lunch. We were attending a 50th anniversary party at 4 pm that afternoon, so we didn't need a large meal.

Our order was taken promptly and beverages were served. Food was "a little slow" getting to the table; however, the manager and cook communicated with us regularly and assured us food would be ready soon.

We ordered: 1, Daily Special, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich 1, Caesar Salad with Chicken 1, Egg & Spinach Omelette 1, Grilled Rachel Sandwich

Did not expect to have the best scone of my life here. The raspberry chocolate chip scone was sublime. I don't even like raspberry.

The texture of the scone is absolutely phenomenal. The crust on top is just perfect. It pairs well and contrasts with the delightfully dense, and almost cake-like sponginess of the inside. The light and tart raspberry is well balanced with the background sweetness provided by the white chocolate. Incredible execution.

Coffee: one of the few Americanos that isn't overly extracted at the 16oz size. The roast isn't overly dark and brings out the nice caramel roastiness without being too bold...
