We visited on a Sunday evening about 6pm. Upon entering the restaurant we stood to be seated for a good 5 minutes before someone emerged from the back somewhere to seat us but, was more concerned about the people that came in behind us to pick up a To Go Order. There was only one other table sitting down eating when we got there. After we were seated about 5 other tables were seated that came in after us. There was only one guy taking care of everything from people coming in to people picking up orders and answering the phone (which the phone ringing was horribly loud and the phone was announcing who the caller was). Our server never gave us a drink option other than water. Then our drinks went unfilled to the point I had to get up and go get the water pitcher myself to refill our drinks. Another table followed my example when their drinks were not being refilled as well. To me it seemed very SERVE YOYRSELF. Refill your own water and let your dirty plates stack up on your table because we are not cleaning them off for you. Now, that makes sense because there were a few dirty tables with plates stacked on them when we got there and they did not start cleaning those tables until we were leaving. We got the buffet. The food was okay. I don't think I would come back for the price or the service. Also, just a recommendation.....if they would play some music. Hearing that phone ring loudly and speaking the callers number was...

This is one of my regular haunts, especially for the lunch buffet. I've eaten Indian dishes at various times in my life but never became a fan until I started dining here. Columbia is a tough venue for more vegetarian-oriented restaurants, so I'm forever looking for places with great veggies at great prices. (Disclaimer: I'm not vegetarian, but I love good vegetable dishes.)

The food is generally excellent, with just the right amount of heat if you already have a palate for food that is a bit spicy. The buffet often has dishes like chicken tikka masala, various lentil and chickpea dishes, some unusual vegetable dishes based on okra, eggplant, some vegetables I didn't even recognize, and my personal favorite, goat curry. (Note, someone was critical about the bones in the dish. That isn't necessarily my favorite part, but it is worth it to use a knife to separate the meat off the bones.)

The service is generally good, but a little uneven. I've only eaten dinner there once. This is probably a great experience for a larger group, but I was dining alone and it is not practical to order several items as each entree is portioned and priced for a small group to share. I ended up eating way too much biryani rice since that was all I ordered (though they did bring out some excellent garlic nan at no...

Only giving 2 stars because the guy working was very nice and he also gave me a 10% off my meal. I'm going to try to give this place my honest opinion on what I notice while here. First look at the place it looks pretty nice and clean. I noticed that when people left the guy working would clean and spray and wipe up after they left. Ill also say that this was the only place I could find offering a lunch (Indian) buffet. The worker also had his face mask on the whole time i was there. That was the good stuff. The bad "my opinion " food was not have enough flavor. Most not all of the food did not appear to be fresh. My chicken was so dried that it was hard. My biggest problem was they had roaches every where. I was eating and one crawled on my table. When I started looking around they were all over the wall. I pointed them out the the waiter and he just grabbed a napkin and started killing them. He did tell me they just sprayed for roaches on Monday. I was here on a Friday. When I went to pay for my food that is when I got 10% off. He did say the bugs come out after they spray. I don't think I'll be coming back to this place. I do hope they can get there bug problem under control. It could be good here. I use to like it here. Owner did respond so maybe l will give them...

We always order the same things at Indian restaurants so, we though going to a buffet was an opportunity to try many things and widen our options. This however was not a good one to try. There were only two options with meat (tandoori chicken and some curry chicken), everything else was vegetarian. The food tasted mostly like lunch leftovers, left by the heat too long (perhaps doing the luch buffet was a better idea, as the dinner buffet offers the same options) Naan was not cooked thoroughly. The biriyani rice tasted more like fried rice and contained no meat. It was not all bad, the mattar paneer was a really tasty. I believe that one of the reasons we visited was due to how delicious and illuminated the pictures posted by the business were. But those seem to be from an event. The actual restaurant is dimly lighted, there is only one isle with two rows of trays, for a total of about a dozen option. I think it was deceptive from the business to post pictures that advertised an event rather than the actual restaurant. Just don't go there expecting to find what their pictures depict. Or expecting to see a good Biryani, or classics indian curries like Vindalou, or even the more inglish tikka masala on the buffet.
