Queen City Homestore — Local services in West Columbia

Our 20-year-old refrigerator suddenly quit overnight, and we didn't want to deal with a service call and repair bill, so we began the search for a new one starting with the internet to get information on appliance stores in the area. It was a Saturday morning, and we needed to get something secured quickly. I saw Queen City that was about 3 miles away and the big-box hardware store that I frequent so we decided to check out these 2. I never heard of Queen City Homestore but without much thought I figured it was out of Charlotte and newly opened. The plan was to go there first then on to the big-box hardware store where I had purchased appliances and other things for years. We got to Queen City and parking was easy and close which was good because I walk with some difficulty. Shortly after entering the store, we were greeted by Craig Beasley who struck the perfect balance between assisting us and letting us browse. That enabled us to gravitate to the models that would fit in the kitchen, and he could give us the necessary details. Craig did give us some history on Queen City which helped assure us that they were here for the long haul. He directed us to a G.E. model that checked all of our boxes and let him know this was the one we wanted. We knew that an extended warranty would be offered but were pleasantly surprised to find out that if it wasn't used during the 5 years, then half the value of it could be used toward a purchase in the store. That was good because the store has much more than appliances. So, we bought the extended warranty. It also came with a $25 rebate. The purchase process was easy and communication via phone and email was established to ensure good delivery and set-up. Upon leaving Craig asked for future business and we assured him that we would return. I wasn't there when they arrived with the new refrigerator, but I was told it went well. Good morning . Still painfully hot , but our food/ drinks are now in nice cold new refrigerators . All taken care of in 48 hours . Latanya was terrific in purchase one, and then hustled in a second fridge due to failure of a second old guy . Sucks to have to get two new guys at the same time , but old fellas were 19, 30 year vets . So long and solid service . Delivery gents were early , careful , and did a great job removing , and then installing the new guard units . Water line hooked up , both units leveled up , scrap picked up . Then they were on to the next . Unitss are both now fully cooked to set levels and humming along nicely . First ice cubes have started to show up in the big fella, so I am looking forward to see what the cubes look like . It will be tough to beat the 19 years of terrific ice cube production from the old fella. Stuck with the Whirlpool line on both units , ( Amana part of the family) . All in all glad my wife found Queen City . Terrific service all around ....

After a very bad experience at another store on Friday looking for a dishwasher, we tried Queen City. They were very friendly from the moment we came in. We were greeted immediately and offered bottled water (it was hot outside) and we told them what we were looking for. They took us right over and showed us what they had. After several minutes we had it narrowed down to two. When we decided which one we wanted they were so helpful with all of the technical questions we had. They never tried to pressure us or push us to buy something that we did not want. It was a very delightful experience there and our new dishwasher is on the way.
