This has become our absolute favorite local restaurant for Mexican food. I’ve lost count of how often I’ve enjoyed dining here with friends and family. It’s perfect for every occasion (date nights, lunch with friends, birthday and graduation celebrations, etc.) and has a warm, family friendly atmosphere.
At some other Mexican restaurants, I’ve noticed a tendency for meat to be overcooked. Here, the meat in each dish is tender, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are so generous that I always seem to leave with enough leftovers for a second meal! There are also many gluten-free and dairy-free menu items available for guests with allergy concerns.
The staff is incredible; kind, attentive and very knowledgeable on the menu. As a multi-lingual establishment they are able to accommodate both English and Spanish speaking guests (and have been wonderfully patient with non-Spanish speaking guests, children and adults, who wish to practice ordering in Spanish).
We know friends who will make the trip from Lexington or Downtown Columbia because the food is that good! This has become our go-to recommendation for Mexican cuisine, both to local and out of town friends. If you’re local to the area and haven’t been here for a meal yet, get ready to discover...
Read moreI can't believe I haven't heard of this place sooner. I just tried their Chimichanga and oh my goodness, was it good. I literally could've eaten four of them. The queso is phenomenal, as well. The price is very fair for the amount and quality of food you get. The fajitas mix was so good. The steak was tender and had so much wonderful flavor.
Inside the restaurant is a fun little atmosphere. It feels almost like a diner. The bar service looks to be excellent, although I didn't have anything. I ordered takeout and the cashier helped me very quickly.
Overall, good food, good prices, and good service lead this to be one of my new favorite...
Read moreTheir food is delicious! I ordered, through Door Dash, four tacos and churros (I KNOW IT’S A LOT OF FOOD FOR ONE PERSON, but that’s not what we’re here to discuss). I got one of each of the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Carnitas tacos. The meat was well seasoned and tender. It came with cilantro and onions on the side so you can add as much or as little as you want, and two salsa types: a red and a green, both which had a flavorful kick to them. The churros had a nice crunch and a perfect amount of cinnamon sugar. I ate it all because I have no willpower and do not believe in “saving it for tomorrow.” Legit can’t wait to order...
