After Long day of disappointing trips me and my girlfriend decided we are going to stop at East Bay deli and give them a try for the first time. We Each order a cheesesteak and to start off they don’t even have marinara sauce anywhere in the building for the cheesesteak. I ordered fries with my cheesesteak and asked them politely to make sure that there is a decent amount of fries for the price they were charging and they told me don’t worry there’s enough fries in there. It took us 15 minutes to get home from the deli and as soon as we get home and opened the food boxes it seems to be two kids size cheesesteaks (compare the size to the packet of mayonnaise they put in the box) and a palm full of fries and we paid $26 for this meal. On top of that they laid the whole piece of cheese across the entire sandwich including the bread. I am very unsatisfied with the way this food turned out and it was completely dry by the time we got home. This is completely unacceptable and I will be returning tomorrow and speaking to the manager because unfortunately they are closed. Not recommending this deli to anybody unless they love wasting money on tasteless food . They Promoted the fries as seasoned deli fries and when I open the box they only put seasoning on the top eight fries. We could not believe that this is what I spent $26 on. Read moreLove the food even though it is overpriced. My last experience at this restaurant was a couple of months ago and it wasn't good so I hadn't been back since then. However, I thought I would give them another try today, so I again tried to use the "curbside service". I placed the order through the app at 2:31pm I arrived and there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot. I pulled in to the curbside service space and waited....and waited....and waited. After 9 minutes, I walked inside and asked if they still offered curbside service. The reply from the young lady in braids was that they did. I told her I had been sitting out there almost 10 minutes and nobody brought my food out. She said that the monitor was out (has been for MONTHS now) and they get busy and just "forget". There were only a handful of customers in the restaurant so I'm not sure what she meant by "busy" and there were no cars parked in front of the front door so they had to be able to see my car. I suggested that if they know they have a curbside delivery that has been placed that maybe they should look out for it. She said they do, but just forget sometimes. She was definitely not concerned. This isn't the first time this has happened to me at their so called curbside delivery. It won' t happen again though. I've learned my lesson. My point is.........DON'T OFFER CURBSIDE DELIVERY IF YOUR EMPLOYEES AREN'T...
Read moreFirst of all, it was my choice in going to this business. I was greeted job entering. Placed the order and offered cash, but they didn't have change, so I had to use my credit card and get charged more money for using the card and because they didn't have change. Got the order and left. Should have checked it before I was down the road. No chips for either sandwich. Had to drive back and get the chips. I entered the store and they knew. Told them they should pay me for having to come back for all of my order. Grrr. Let and finally got to the house to eat. Best I can say is the bread for my sandwich must have been 5 day old bread. It was terribly chewy, under-toasted and just bad. I'll be making better choices in the future. I'm sure all of this was somehow my fault according to some, but the concern, attention to detail and customer service at this location needs some serious help.
