Waffle House — Restaurant in Irmo

Sitting in waffle house now. 653am. When I arrived there was no one wlhen the restaurant was empty. there was only one waitress a girl with with black and pink braids. I think I heard someone call her Mindy or something like that.. She informed me when I arrived that they were only doing dine in and only took cards. I said fine I went to my car to grab a scarf because it was cold. I came back inside and sat down still the only person there. I was completely ignored. Then five or six white construction workers come in. She goes immediately and takes their order. I say excuse me I've been sitting here being ignored. She said oh I'm going to put the orders in at the same time. I told her it was completely unacceptable. So my order is now mixed in with six other orders when I was sitting there ignored alone. Another waitress came in and asked me what I ordered and said she'd get it right out. But there was only one cook so there was still a significant delay and I ended up leaving. This service is unacceptable. The days of the racist South really need to be over. Needless to say I'm writing the rest of the review from my car because I left I will never ever come to this Waffle House again and I highly would recommend you...

I was just in this location placing a to go order am picky about how I like my food and one thing I do get often is the Philly steak hash brown bowl how I like my bowl is with the grits in it and over easy eggs as well in it The lady taking my order I told her how I wanted it and she said on the side I said no in the bowl I repeated myself together multiple times she gets my order ready handed to me and I ask her is it together she says no she placed the grits in a bowl and I said I told you I wanted it together so right there she just pops open the bowl of grits and dumps it into my hash brown bowl And I asked her excuse me are you upset because I want food the way I ordered it. She says you didn’t tell me how you wanted it. I repeated myself multiple times and she says I did not tell her this Caucasian heavyset woman was nasty and gave horrible service. I will not be returning to this waffle house I would rather drive out of my than ever give a penny to this location , even though location is conveniently located by my house, I will go out of my way drive to a different location and there are several options I can have than ever give this...

The black lady with the brown dreads was very disrespectful. I walked in with 3 other people and we sat down as a table of 4. Immediately as I walked in she stared at me and gave me a long stare. When she asked for our drinks and we responded, she turned around and proceeded to mumble “michael jackson” and “blanket” (who’s michael jackson’s son if you don’t know) these are offensive and derogatory words. She thought because she mumbled them that no one would hear. I stood up and asked her who was she talking about. I repeated it 3 times. She ignored me because she didn’t expect me to hear or say anything back. I’m also a teenager but I know how to stick up for myself and am not gonna let some “adult” disrespect me. I then told all my friends to get up and leave because i was not going to patronize that location with a disrespectful waitress. Then when we sat down in the car I could see her through the window telling the other customers what happened. Completely unprofessional. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Waffle house lost 4 checks tonight because their waitress didn’t feel like keeping her...
