Taco Bell — Restaurant in Irmo

This taco bell is always hit or miss. For the past 2 years I've been using the mobile ordering feature on their app. I normally go to the one in Ballentine (their service is fantastic and they very rarely mess up our order) but patronize this one when I can't be bothered to drive across town for good service. The service was particularly bad today, as when I arrived to get my mobile order I was informed that this taco bell was closed at 3:25pm despite the fact that there were people waiting for their orders they had just placed even though I had placed my order well before any of them. The drive through attendant initially refused to serve us. After a minute or two of explaining how legitimately unfair that it is I would be unable to get the food I paid for (despite the fact I was guaranteed it on the app) she begrudgingly agreed to fulfill my order. In the end, I got my food, but not until jumping through hoops and arguing with a very rude drive through attendant. Getting the food wasn't much better, as all I got were some mean glances and not a single word out of her. The only communications I received were her waving bye, which was pleasant enough until I realized she forgot the nacho fries. I pulled around and got flagged down by a different person who, after a bit of waiting, brought me my fries. We come home to eat our food and LO AND BEHOLD they forgot to give us one of our large drinks. Not coming back, ever!!! My family and I come every Sunday after worship, often inviting several members of our congregation to come with us. We've been doing this for about 4 years now. There have been many issues over the years but we've just let them go and try to be understanding that people sometimes have bad days and mistakes on orders will happen occasionally. Today we stood at the order counter for a real 5 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. It was obvious we were expecting to be waited on. Two employees were looking and laughing while making orders. After about 5 minutes one employee finally came up to the counter said we have to use the ordering kiosk. This was said without any greeting, she just pointed to the kiosk and told us we had to order there. Out of the two screens, one wasn't working and the other one was being used by the family that walked in right behind us. I showed her the screen wasn't working and she just pointed and shrugged while saying we 'gotta use da kiosk' She had absolutely no interest in being polite or courteous while speaking to us. My wife asked if she could take our order and was told NO. I told the wife I guess we need to go somewhere else and the same employee just threw her arm over her head turned around and said 'Have a nice day' as she walked away towards employees trying to stifle their giggles. We won't be coming back ever. My family and I will find somewhere else to eat lunch...

This Taco Bell was NOT that busy on 7-19-2023, and there was one truck at the drive thru & not but maybe 1 or 2 cars in parking lot. I ordered 3 soft taco supremes, & 3 hard taco supremes without tomatoes. I said it twice into the speaker. The truck had pulled off like maybe a minute by the time I pulled up to get to window. The girl took my $17, & it took 15-18 minutes to make those tacos. I was getting so furious bc all I could see was a bunch of laughing & carrying on. I asked the girl at the window AGAIN about are you sure there are no tomatoes on the hard shell tacos. She replied, oh yes ma'am. There are no tomatoes. I get home, & low & behold, there's loaded tomatoes on my tacos. There was so much grease on mine, that the shell had softened by the time I got home (10 minutes away). I will NOT EVER GO BACK TO THIS HORRIBLE unsupervised Taco Bell, because they are so busy laughing & cutting up, they cannot even get the orders right. This has happened several times. I will start going to Broad River where they listen & are much more friendly & professional. I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS TACO BELL ON LAKE MURRAY BLVD! IT'S A JOKE! Good luck on fixing this issue.
