Ate here tonight. Open table has this rated pretty high& I have no idea why. The photos of the food are good on Google, but the food was really sub par. The only good thing about the dinner was the whiskey cucumber drink. First off - waitress was sweet. That's about as good as it got. The cheese platter was 3 very tiny pieces of cheese, bread sticks and hard crunchy pieces of toasted baguette, a ramekin of honey, a handful of dried cranberries, a handful of sweet crusted walnuts, some tomatoes chopped in half, a fork full of picked onion. No olives, no soft cheese, the bread was not meant for hard cheese- it's like someone said "let's do a cheese board" & nobody understood what goes into one. So, our cheese and brussel sprouts (they were ok, but SUPER SWEET & obviously not cooked fresh because they came out so fast and were not hot, almost room temperature) came out about 3 minutes after our drinks arrived. While we are eating the appetizers, like not even close to done- our meals show up. Which made me uncomfortable as we ordered the half chicken, pork chop, cat fish and lobster ravioli. Not possible to cook pork that fast, let alone chicken. The chicken- 🤢 smelled like reheated meat, was pale colored on the skin, and in no way shape or form was Herb crusted. There were no herbs, the chicken was so dry I took about 3 bites of it. (& Because we were meeting our daughters boyfriend for the first time I was not going to complain as I thought everyone else was enjoying their meal). The chicken was like warm and did I mention it was dry? The lobster ravioli my daughter got was so fishy tasting she ate two ravioli and asked me to try it. Husbands pork was tough and tasteless. Not sure about the 4th meal at he was being polite. If y'all are still with me here- while we are all just about 5 bites into the meal the waitress comes over and mentions dessert! I felt like they were trying to move us along. Normally we have a few beverages, appetizers, dinner then dessert and coffee. I didn't even want to look at the dessert options. The waitress even mentioned when picking up our plates that the chicken was pale and bland. Please do yourselves a favor and do not go here for a nice meal. We ordered 4 out of the maybe 7 options on the menu and they were so bad we went home and...
Read moreA group of eleven of us went here after bowling for my 31st birthday. It was close to the bowling alley and didn’t have much of a wait. A couple from our group had been there before for a party and had a break experience. A few of my friends had had some drinks and were a little loud so I asked the hostess to sit us outside on the front patio. The heaters were really nice! At first, our experience was excellent. We only had one waiter for our table and he had several other tables inside, so I know the poor kid was strapped. It took awhile to get our drinks initially but the waiter kept up as well as could be expected seeing as he was by himself. The manager came out and helped him a little and was very friendly and joking with our table. Then after more than an hour after ordering, we still didn’t have our food. Eventually the food started coming, but two guys at our table never got their food...one of which bought a $100 round of drinks for the table. We brought it to the manager’s attention and he pretended to go in and check on the issue. He may have, but it took another 20 minutes before he came back (still no food for my friends). I did see him multiple times stopping by to chat with a very pretty blonde lady sitting at the bar, so we saw that his priority wasn’t customer service. The manager came back by and we shared our experience again, a bit pissed at this point but the two guys were so mad they just wanted to get their checks and go. The manager offered them a to-go plate, but seeing as how we had already been there more than two hours, we just paid our checks and left. My friend and I literally went across the street to Arby’s to get him dinner before heading back to our city. I was livid. Some birthday dinner. I wouldn’t go back to this place even if it was on the house. One of the top two worst dining experiences I’ve ever had...and that includes more than 25 states and multiple...
Read moreTo Bistro Owner Wade Penland this is follow-up to my previous post about the poor "server" service my son received on 10/30/24. We still live in a free country, so your taking the stance in support of your employee's is your right. However, this doesn't negate, omit, or wash our experiences. YOU were not there and the gentleman who Identified himself as a shadow trainee was the only person offering my son eye contact. There was no ill intent in my comments, only truth which was why I offered compliment to the food!!!! Trust, I would not have taken the time out of my schedule to write a Google Review had our experience been what we had grown to know from previous experiences at this restaurant! MY COMMENTS STAND!!!! I do not care of whomever experienced the courtesies of Ms. Alyssa G being YOUR Stella employee, she insulted my SON!! I watched her interactions with others and YES, while we were the only people there of color opposite of the two young ladies that were servers, I do not think that she had concerns with color but more so his appearance, as I stated. I am a educated, well traveled, and diverse professional and like you SIR I have communicable influence. No I do not care to entertain you by sending you a email, because I prefer transparency! I am a TOP Google Reviewer, and a Social Media Influencer. Your comments are a total disregarded to our experiences. The way you reverenced her is definitely not the energy my son received and to me, that is all that matters so thank you for the reassurance in that your energy toward my son had we discussed this with someone before leaving your restaurant probably would have been a waste of time. This is not the appropriate way to...
