Tavern On Broad — Restaurant in Irmo

This place is what my wife has affectionately refered to as a "church of bars". Everybody here is friendly. The owners, the barkeepers, and the customers are all great. There is almost never any trouble. Since everybody knows everybody and everyone are friends, if you start trouble, you start trouble with the entire place. They have live music often. My favorite is Shrek's open mic night on fridays where everybody is more than welcome to play and even one of the bartenders gets into it and drums along either on his djembe or an upturned bucket. I would give a zero if I could because I drove 77 miles to shoot in there pool tournament and was going to buy a membership and they would not even let me thru the door saying I had to wait 24 hours to be able to get in when they could have sign me in as a guest and let me play in tournament but no they would not even let me in I guess they was afraid I would come take the money in the tournament lol which it's cool but I hope they get closed down and go bankrupt cause I'm a citizen just like them and they was wrong for doing me that way after I...

If I could do zero stars I would, we were told the Senior Owner is very strict and does NOT Want even service dogs in his place, not even for a 32 yr Army Vet, 4 combat tours, I was a first responder our service dog is trained, registered well behaved etc. But was not even allowed to enter from outside, we were looking for a place to go and have a drink. Both life members of the VFW, memberships are not new to us. But I guess better to know now before paying for a membership that it is NOT a Veteran, first responder friendly with a Service...
