I came here with friends for a high school reunion! Service was so kind, immediate, and direct. We came on a Sunday morning, around 11 am just when the restaurant opened. There aren’t many people around this time, so if you are looking for a place to grab brunch - this place is wonderful! For a party of four we ordered the Bunsik Combo: Grilled Beef Kimbap, spicy beef noodles, and rose pasta It satisfied the taste palates reflecting the spectrum of those who do not like spice and those who did. The food was savory and fresh. There were pickled radishes and kimchi to accompany the main dishes. The size of the kimbaps were generous compared to the ones you would get from a Korean convenience store or supermarket. The spicy beef noodles was not greasy and instead warm to the soul. I think there was a good balance of noodles, meat, and vegetables that I really appreciated. I’m so much more used to there being too much noodles - as much as I like noodles, it is not what I would pay for compared to the balance of flavors. The rose pasta was topped with corn that hugged my taste palates. Creamy and delicious - reminding me of Alfredo pasta with a lingering touch of Korean tteobokki. The small details that enhanced our time here - the garnishes, the glass cups for the water, and the care provided by the staff. We did not feel rushed at all, and it was such a blessing to just dine with friends here! Thank you all so much.

This is one of the few places I always come back to. I remember getting loads of takeout from Chan Chan during covid, or if it was just a treat myself day, or had a bad day at work. Their Korean comfort food like Korean fried chicken and kimbap is basically an Irvine staple, with this year marking 10 years they've been open, and their inside dining just got a long overdue remodel. You've gotta try some of their new items like cheesy pork belly with shishito peppers and the GIANT basket of fried goodies. There's onion rings, fried squid, seaweed dumplings, and more in it. And this is where you'll find the best Korean fried chicken in the GAME. Super crunchy batter, sauces are to d!e for, and MEATY pieces of chicken. And you can't forget about the tteokbokki or soondae which is rice sausage. I got the rose flavor this time and it was perfectly creamy with a tiny bit of spice. And I always look forward to this Korean dessert. It's called sikhye, and it's a sweet rice drink in slush form. SO refreshing and addicting. Thanks for reading! ^-^

I love this place! It's just a solid Korean place and the food is unassumingly good. Good: - Very efficient ordering process and we got our seats then got to order at the front - Food was just so solid - I loved the Chan Chan kimbap - very simple but just so good with all of the veggies as well as the meat inside - I also loved the soy garlic sweet fried chicken - it didn't taste like other fried chicken places - more crunchy and i loved the sweetness level here. - The spicy rice cakes with glass noodles and fish cake and cheese are the BOMB - so good and portion sizes huge here. Bad: - I thought that the starter dishes weren't too great - the cabbage was really raw and a bit too leafy and the radishes were also not super appealing to me. - Food took 15-20 min to arrive, so it's not super fast. Overall I really do love Korean food and this place really hit the spot for me!

Food is decent, I think I've had better for a much lower price. But my problem with this restaurant was not the food, rather it was the customer service. Walked in, not a single greeting (although they greeted every other Asian customer. I'm Hispanic sooo i don't know about that). On the other hand, I approach the cashier, and I'm on a good mood, I'm ready to greet them with a smile, but the first thing he says is "Hold on" puts his hand out to me, and continues with his technical Difficulties on his POS.

Not only was I taken back from His tone, but after that, I was just irritated... it looked like the boss of this cashier noticed my demeanor change so he tried to apologize and say "please hold on" and sort of grinned and FINALLY made eye contact with me.

Few minutes went by and they finally took my To go order. This was originally a Postmates order but got to keep the food since my Customer did not pick it up. I asked for extra red sauce on the side and all he said was "unavailable". I asked why? And he just kept saying "unavailable". So... let me get this straight... you can't give me sauce on the side?? Okay... I just handed him my card and wanted to pay and get it over with..

Again: food was decent, but paying $57 for 4 items was a little much for me.

Definitely did not tip. Definitely won't be coming back. I Didn't feel welcomed here.

A tip to the owner: teach your son or whoever this cashier is some manners of common courtesy... (just because I don't speak your language doesn't mean you treat me like an idiot). One of your servers kindly answered my question, but he was in the kitchen. Your front cashier needs...

Korean Fried Chicken: 11/10 Honestly, this has got to be my favorite Korean fried chicken. Despite the usual long lines, I always find myself coming back munching on their delicious chicken! It's perfectly crunchy, and oh so tender! Their wings are way better than their tenders, but both are so freaking delicious. I just think the wings holds the juices way better than the tenders do. Also, PLEASE TRY THEIR SWEET GARLIC SAUCE. I normally am not the type to like garlic flavored food, but this just compliments their chicken so well!

Chanchan Kimbab: 10/10 The kimbap is certainly worth the bang for the buck. It's huge. If you grab one small fried chicken and one kimbab, its certainly good for two people. (mind you, my friends and I eat a lot, and grabbing one small fried chicken and two kimbaps was WAY too much). It's a typical traditional kimbap, and you really can't go wrong ordering it! It's delicious!

Other: I was actually not a big fan of their white pasta. It was just too much sauce for the amount of pasta they gave you, and pretty bland. But I don't think most people come here for their pasta anyways.I think that if you stick to the fried chicken, kimbap, or other korean foods, that it's already fantastic.

Overall: Price is fantastic. I don't think the add-ons are worth it, but they're not baldy priced either. Food is great! Especially their fried chicken and kimbap! Wait time is so-so, depending on when you get there. If you're coming at peak hours (lunch time or dinner time or post work) expect atleast a 20-30 min wait. But honestly, the fried chicken is worth...

I have lots of Korean friends recommended me this restaurant and today is actually our first time here. I got off work late and my husband just picked up the kid from school. We were trying to have something to eat immediately, dine-in would be the best choice for us during this cold night .We called and joined on the waitlist trough Yelp. Right after we got here, no one greeted. I had to ask the guy at the order counter. He then confirmed with my waitlist status and asked us to sit table 4 outside which only has 2 chairs. No one there outside to greet us either. We pulled a chair ourselves to be seated. Few minutes later, another staff came to us and said:" you can't sit here." We were like the guy just told us to sit here. Then the staff told us to move to another table which is super dark without light and right at the entrance of the restaurant next to the waiting line. He said table 4 is too close to other two tables. especially for my son. He said it's too dangerous for my son when people passing by. The distance of the table is not 6 feet. (But then why they set a table there if it's not 6 feet enough????) My husband then asked if they have another heater to put at the corner table he said no. The whole time the staffs have no welcomed attitude. I don't know if it's because I am wearing a scrub so they got scared me to dine in at their place or because I don't speak Korean. Neither did they try to make our dinning experience work. We had to leave under their invisible pressure. I wish they can offer a better attitude and more respect to...
