If heaven had a drive-thru, it would be Dave’s Hot Chicken—and let me tell you, this location isn’t just serving chicken, they’re serving pure joy wrapped in spice and dipped in perfection.
First, let’s talk about Evelyn, the manager. Evelyn isn’t just managing a restaurant; she’s orchestrating a symphony of flavor and hospitality. This woman runs the show with the grace of a ballerina and the precision of a heart surgeon. Her kindness radiates like the warm glow of a perfectly crispy tender, and she made sure every detail of my visit was flawless. If Evelyn isn’t Dave’s Hot Chicken royalty, she should be crowned immediately.
And then there’s Arad, the cashier. Arad isn’t just taking orders; he’s crafting personalized culinary experiences. With a smile so sweet it could rival the honey in their sauces, Arad made me feel like I was the only customer in the world. His energy? Infectious. His vibe? Immaculate. I left the counter not just with chicken but with my faith in humanity restored.
Together, Evelyn and Arad are the Spice Sovereigns—ruling the world of hot chicken with sweetness, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. The tenders were a masterpiece, the fries were golden perfection, and the entire experience was nothing short of life-changing.
If you’re not eating here, you’re doing life wrong. Bravo,...
Read moreI tried this place for the first time Saturday and it was so delicious I had to go back .
The first time I went through the drive thru and it wasn’t very crowded as others had experienced. It went pretty quickly. I ordered the 1 slider and 1 tender combo reaper heat. The guy who handed me my order said, “Good luck with that.” I was a little concerned that maybe there might be a place that serves ridiculously spicy food that is even too hot for me. Just for reference I eat a lot of my foods with ghost pepper flakes and/or extract.
I got home and tore off a little piece just in case I finally met my match.
The chicken was fresh, hot and deliciously spicy. I found the heat level to be that of eating a bag of flaming hot cheetoes. You get a warm tummy feeling, but no burn in the mouth to stop you from eating more.
If you eat it with honey, it makes for a perfectly sweet n spicy bite.
The second time I dined it. The place was clean and the cashier was friendly. I ordered reaper heat again and had to sign a waiver. I was wondering if maybe they didn’t give me the reaper heat last time and that maybe it’d be really that hot. Turns out that was the reaper heat for both orders.
Definitely love...
Read moreDave’s Hot Chicken was established in Hollywood CA and send to be rather successful as they’ve expanded and set up a place in Irvine. Today i had a craving for some spicy hot chicken so we thought we’d give Dave’s a try. This location is at the intersection of Irvine Center Drive and Culver in the old KFC building ironically enough.
They have chicken tenders and chicken sliders and a menagerie off side orders you can have as well.
I went for the two sliders with the spice level at HOT. Wife and our two other kids ordered it mild.
Order came out super quick and was nice and hot fresh out of the fryer.
The sliders i believe are brioche buns. It’s good s god drizzle of Dave’s special sauce and some Cole slaw to add a bit more texture to your bite.
Crinkle fries had a good dusting of the seasoning and let me tell you about the pickle slices. Pro tip order extra because these pickle slices are awesome.
Had a great meal in a hip eating area that’s cleaned thoroughly with sanitizing wipes after each customer. Staff is friendly and location is great. If you live in or near Irvine and want spicy fried chicken give...
