Freddys Deli — Restaurant in Irvine

I started a new job near Freddy’s and when I did, I walked there for breakfast. It wasn’t open! Turns out, no surprise, Freddy was the best man at a wedding and it was closed.

When I finally got there, I had a great experience. I chatted with Freddy for a few minutes while he made my food. Great guy!

I showed up for lunch a few days later. 1) He remembered my name and every other customer’s name in line behind me. 2) One of the guys behind me didn’t remember how he gets his burger. Freddy recited all of his preferences to him. Incredible how this guy knows all his customers. 3) My burger that day was great.

This is going to be my regular spot now that I work nearby. Plus, prices are great. Check this place out. Great food, at a great price, with a great experience. I highly recommend this little spot. It’s hidden in an office building, so help this man out. Trust me, you won’t mind helping a brotha out. Guy has good taste and it is reflected in his food.

Oh yeah, and his daily specials are a great deal. I found out they have this option where you can text in your order and pick it up if you are in a pinch for time. Pretty cool.

Had an office lunch picked up from here. Everyone's lunch was individually marked and neatly packed. Great value! I would say that the pastrami sandwich was not the greasy pastrami I am used to from the Hat as it is much leaner but it did not lack flavor. I honestly probably not enjoy this type of smoked pastrami on dishes such as pastrami fries, but it works in the sandwich with cheese and dressing. It is a very different experience for pastrami but I enjoyed it. My office enjoyed the food as well. I did not pick up the food but my colleague said the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back for more orders in the near future!

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. We found this place on a whim while we were staying in a hotel nearby to visit our son who's at a nearby university. I searched burgers, and this place popped up. I'm so excited it did. #1, Freddy is an awesome guy. He provided great customer service and is an absolutely exceptional young man. His food, wow! Who knew someone could pop out such great burgers in a small little deli in a business building... we ordered the double grass fed burger on sourdough with provolone. One of the best tasting burgers I've ever had. The price, in 2024 mind you, $11.99. We got some of the prebiotic sodas and they were outstanding as well. No junk here.
