This place was clean on the table, but may not be clean on their food. I just had lunch there. Now I feel something hard and hurt sticking in my stomach.
I came here first time with my friend and ordered beef bones - I chose them because people said they were authentic. The beef was very dry on the top side, pretty hard to chew, and pretty chewy on the other side which was in the soup. It chews like a rubber band. I felt it might be dried from overnight because the dry side in the air and we were the earliest guests for lunch. So when the waitress asked how I felt, I asked her whether it should be this way. She immediately offered me to replace it with a beef soup which she told me would be tender. I accepted.
After 2 minutes, an angry woman rushed to me with the beef bone plate, yelled at me and demanded me to show what was wrong. I was astonished. She told me she was the boss. I let her know it's dry and very hard to chew. Not till I finished, she picked up a glove and wanted to mash the beef with her hand on the table to show it's "good". I was speechless in front of my friend.
I was forced to accept the beef bone, as the boss not only threatened to use her hand to stir the plate, if I said no, but also claimed there was no way to replace it. When I told her I felt hard to chew some part of the beef, she yelled at me and said every normal people had no issue so I must have been abnormal.
It was so embarrassing in front of my friend, as being yelled and told not a normal person. I left tips to the waitress who was nice - I really felt sorry for her to have such a boss. I tried to shake all the bad experience away. But felt sick and got an upset stomach when I got home.
This is a place I will Never visit again. Nor should you risk your health and happy moments with your family or friends. ...
Read moreSad to say that this place has gone down hill since the new management. To anyone that went here before the new year you know what I mean. The flavor for the Galbi Tang was so rich that you didn’t even need salt but now it’s become this generic flavor where you need to add salt. And not gonna lie they probably didn’t let the galbi sit long enough in water because the blood taste is still kinda there. Also, the chicken katsu was so crispy and they were so thoughtful of the idea that the crispiness would dissipate without the katsu on top of a rack. Sadly now with the new management they just throw it on the plate and give it to you and the fry feels so rushed because the katsu is not crispy and the oil is still caked on there. One of the employees that was there before the new years Is still there too and I wish him the best because that new manager is running Tang 190 to the ground in terms of food quality. Which eventually leads to decrease in popularity.
On a side note whoever that new manager lady is clearly cares solely about the number of customers that she can run through the restaurant per day. She’s so quick to send people out the door when they’re done eating and before I even got the chance to speak with my GF about the food towards the end she comes running over asking if we need to-go boxes. When she brings the boxes over she proceeds to do a whole speed run of putting our foods in the container and sprays bit over to my girlfriend but does not bat an eye to what happened.
Really don’t like the attitude of that new manager because customer satisfaction is not on her priority list. At least not how the previous manager was AND the food tasted...
Read moreDISAPPOINTED. I have been visiting this place for 3 years, and ordering to-go during COVID. However, I came back here and Visited tonight for dinner around 7:30. (first time back after COVID) Staffs did NOT check temperature and did NOT ask guests to sanitize their hands. There were 7-8 staffs chatting and just not paying attentions to customers. I asked them for more hot tea and kimchi, but it came until I remind them twice. I order #9 soup and my friend ordered #14. Her dish came around 30 minutes after we ordered it and we were both starving. We waited another 10 minutes but my dish did not came. We arrived at 7:30 and the my food came out at 8:20PM. I was in rush by then so I had to ask them for a to-go box. Of course asking them to bring the box took another 5 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, and staffs were chatting. I understand if the kitchen was busy or staff shortage but this was NOT. BTW, their new price are unbelievable. The Galbi #14 was $18.99 half year ago and now it’s $28.99 (same food, same amount, but low quality and higher price) I understand that COVID-19 has affected restaurants but this rise in price is unbelievable. And the #14 usually had pretty shaped carrots and other veggies but now it just a big rough cut. Disappointed and will...
