There are so many tea places and it’s hit or miss. Tea Maru was a hit. I never get boba or toppings in my drink but I did because it’s advertised as housemade boba.
I got Okinawa Latte ($5.99) with brown sugar boba. I love that it’s only one size cup and you can customize your ice and sugar level. The tea tasted freshly brewed, it was strong and had a slight hint of roasted flavor in the Okinawa which is supposed to be more bold than the Maru (classic milk tea).

Read moreMaybe test taste your drinks more often before you give them. Ordered a fruit jasmine tea and it was yellow so I expected it to taste like the fruit. It was very bitter with essentially no fruit taste in it at all. I ordered the normal 100% sweetness level so I know that it’s not supposed to taste like this. If the tea itself tasted good I’d be happier with it. I’d rather order the same thing at other boba places. I asked for a refund and the employee looked at me super confused and told me she had to text her manager. What kind of manager isn't at their store? She refused to refund me so i asked her to sweeten it more. She didnt even apologize or offer to remake the drink. I saw her add the tiniest amount of honey and give it to me. I expected sugar. The honey did nothing and it still tasted super bitter. I had to go to the gas station nearby and put lots of raspberry syrup for it to taste at least consumable. Worst...
