Visited this local Thai restaurant in Stone Creek Plaza and found ample parking space available. The ambiance and seating capacity were impressive, and the owner, a friendly lady, greeted everyone with a warm smile. My friends and I decided to sample a variety of dishes, including Red curry with chicken, chicken mint basil, beef curry, and pad Thai. The Red curry was a standout, packed with flavor, and I opted for a spicy level that suited my palate perfectly. The chicken mint basil dish was also delightful, with the combination of mint and basil adding a unique twist. While the beef curry leaned slightly towards the sweeter side, it was still enjoyable. The pad Thai had great flavor, but the peanut sauce was a bit overpowering, making it a tad sweeter than preferred. One thing to note is that the portion of rice served with the curry dishes was on the smaller side compared to the generous servings of curry, so you might need to order extra rice to fully enjoy the curry. Overall, it's a decent restaurant with a small staff, so expect some delays during busy times. However, if you're in the neighborhood and craving Thai cuisine, this place won't disappoint.

Server and food are very nice but our order of 4 items took OVER 1 HOUR to come out. We placed our order on Sunday at 12:50 pm, when there were around 6 tables. Tom yum kai came out at 1:40 pm; fried rice and beef panang came out at 2pm. Pad Kee mao came out at 2:15 pm so we ended up waiting 1 hr 25 minutes. There was only 1 server for ~15 tables so I assume the kitchen was also understaffed. They need to hire more people for lunch time because we had plans for after lunch but had to cancel because of the delay. While we were waiting for our food, the lone server was also packing take out orders, which makes no sense. Dine in customers should be prioritized over mobile orders. They should tell mobile orders that it will take a long time and make dine in orders in the meanwhile. Also, the server started to ignore us as the wait time got longer and answered our questions with 'soon' without listening to the questions. The server never asked us if we wanted water refill either. And the table that came in ~30 minutes after us got food before us and left while we were still eating. Overall a terrible dining experience.

Ordered angel wings, pineapple fried rice, and kai kua. The angel wings were deboned chicken wings stuffed with ground chicken and clear noodles. This was a delicious take on chicken, moist, flavorful chicken and spices inside and the sweet sauce complements it well. The pineapple fried rice was also a really nice dish that wasn’t too sweet, well mixed and made of shrimp, chicken, pineapples, cashew nuts, tomato, raisins, onions, green onion, and a touch of curry powder. The Kai Kua is stir fried flat rice noodles, chicken, squid, egg, bean sprouts, and green onion. This noodle dish is fairly light, well balanced with decent sized eggs, chicken, and squid mixed together. It’s not too fishy and it goes well with a nice crunch from the green onions. Service was quick, courteous, and simple. Ambiance feels very 90s based on how old it seems the restaurant looks inside. Lots of the color choices seem like they haven’t updated over time and that’s fine, especially if you’re here for comfort food and the food quality is great!

Thai Kitchen is hidden in the same plaza as Pho Bac Ky. A lot of people I know love Pho Bac Ky but have never tried Thai Kitchen well I finally did. I was a little worried it might not be that great because there are so many other great Thai restaurants in Irvine and surrounding OC area. Thankfully Thai was good, but not great nor amazing. It seem to lack a punch that the other Thai restaurants have.

The parking can be crazy during lunch in this small plaza and it located closer to residential area than the main Irvine Business area so you may need to drive a bit. With not much time available for lunch, you may considering skipping this place, because the service is a bit slow. Not in a bad way. I think the restaurant is on Island Time because the background music is soothing and no one is in a hurry. You won't see people playing on their phones here. The environment is peaceful but I'm hungry and ain't nobody got time for that. If you have a day off, or all the time in the world just relax and take your time here.

The Red Curry chicken with bamboo shoots was okay. The sauce was taste on white rice but not too much flavor. I could always add more spice but I wanted a stronger Thai taste. The Thai ice coffee is freaking nasty! This item alone near ruined my experience. The coffee was just syrup, sweetener, and cream. It was easily diabetes in a cup. I had a To Go cup, after drinking about 1/4 of the cup I didn't want to waste it, but I decided it's not worth forcing myself and just tossed it away. :(

I think my first Thai Kitchen experience wasn't great, but it might be better with another try. The food taste very authentic, but is not the best option for Thai food. Thai Cafe and Thai and Chinese Food are my two favorite places in Irvine. The service was friendly and the environment was inviting, but the food...

Waited 55 mins on my call, only for it to be given to a delivery driver.

I called in at 6:56 to place my order and was told over the phone that it would be 25-35 mins. I arrived at 7:22pm and paid for my order and was told that it will be 15-20 mins still. Granted, they were more packed than usual for dinner. I proceeded to wait from 7:22pm to 8:06pm giving this place the benefit of the doubt that they would get my order to me only for it to be given to a DoorDash Delivery Driver. Something like this shouldn’t happen and I feel bad for writing this review as the older lady over there is definitely overworked and overwhelmed. She was playing the role of: Server, Table Busser, Online/Phone Order Taker, and Cashier as well. More staff needs to be hired to assure efficiency. It seems if this place has 5 or more tables filled, food will take 35-45 mins longer to get out. Somehow my order was picked up / given to Doordash Driver who came to pick up an order. This lead to a small disagreement with the little old lady as I told her she gave my food to someone else. It took her a bit of time to realize she gave my food to a delivery driver and offered a priority rush on my food but I was already tired and did not want to wait. Just going to dispute my charge with my bank. Again, this should not happen at a restaurant and that little old lady needs more help so events like this...

The quality of food has consistently gone downwards while price has continued to go up. Lots of MSG and in recent visits we always ended up feeling extremely thirsty afterwards. In the last visit, we ordered 3 vegetarian dishes with tofu as protein. All came with only 3 pieces of small tofu cubes. The plates were just filled with mostly noodles and half cooked vegetables. Spoke to one of the waitresses right after the last dish was delivered to our table and proved to her that there was barely any tofu in the dish. She called the other older waitress over and both apologized about it. I do want to mention that they said there should be 5 pieces of tofu. FIVE! How pathetic. When the bill came, there was no discount and deduction at all. Totally felt like being ripped off and robbed by this restaurant. There was a very annoying buzzing sound in the restaurant as well. It was Monday night and, we were the only customers in the whole restaurant from 6 to 7 pm. Feels like they are losing business and now cutting corners to save costs. But they should know customers are not dumb. They will only lose even more customer by cheating on their ingredients. For us,...
