Mike Ward Community Park Woodbridge — Attraction in Irvine

The park is very nice. Went to one of the many outdoor summer concerts. Lots of space.

No issues with the park but, I do have a complaint about the concert. Apparently the Irvine City Council is too cheap to buy the right sound equipment for the outdoor concerts. The current sound system consists of an outdated sound board operated by a person under a canopy.

I've been to a lot of outdoor concerts in OC and the Irvine sound system is, by far, the worst system which consist of only two speakers. Smaller cities like Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch and others have full concert sound systems operated via a tablet. Come on, Irvine. Get with the times and upgrade the...

It's always fun to go to one of the Summer Concerts put on by the City of Irvine. Tonight's concert featured Acme Time Machine. The band played hits from the 50's and 60's including some great to see concerts of songs by Elvis Presley, Richie Valens, and Buddy Hollie as well as many others. It was fun!
