DO NOT GO HERE!!! Buy your pastries and drinks somewhere else! HORRIBLE ADVERTISING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
As someone who's family has been buying their cakes for family members for years. Spending lots of money, they have officially lost our support.
In THREE different spots they have falsely advertised "Matcha Lavender Lemonade"
However when we left and tried it we realized it in fact is NOT LEMONADE!
When we walked back to the counter and requested for a refund the manager rudely told us "In Korea Lemonade is sparkling water"....umm okay thats cool but we ARENT in Korea we are in America and most people who visit this bakery wouldn't know that. I even called our Korean family and friends and they also said they have NEVER heard of that.
So than I googled it and Google says the same thing.
The reason we are upset is not because of the $7 we lost but because some people get upset stomachs from sparkling drinks! Us being one of them, and I know we aren't the ONLY ones!
Its also how she spoke to us and the way they are DESEVING people the way they are falsely advertising this drinking in all their signs....I mean how hard would it be to print a sticker and put it next to the drink name that says "Sparkling" 🤔
Makes me wonder what else they are falsely advertising 🤷♀️
We would also have been less upset if she couldn't refund us for THEIR mistake that the manager at least offered to have a different drink made???
I've worked in customer service for 25 years and NEVER would I treat a customers the way she treated us. She refused to provide her name when asked as well!
I hope this review will help people think twice before giving them their service and consider going to a different Korean Bakery.
I will be writing to Hmart, yelp and post on reddit to inform as many people as possible of how this manager didnt care about their false advertisements, upsetting people's stomach and instead of being understanding tried to make us feel stupid about what she considered "Lemonade"
I attached 3 photos of the multiple spots its advertised incorrectly. I HOPE she learns to treat people with...
Read moreI visited Tous Les Jours last night with and we ordered a slice of cheesecake and a macaron. The cheesecake had a very unusual taste — we assumed it was just the intended flavor, though it wasn’t what we expected. After eating it, both of us felt unwell shortly after. While I can’t say for sure what caused it, I felt it was worth calling the store the next day to share our experience and request a refund.
Initially, I was told a refund wasn’t possible without a receipt, but after explaining that I had paid with a credit card, they were able to find the transaction. The cashier I spoke with was polite and said she would check with her manager. She called back shortly after and informed me that unless I could provide a doctor’s note confirming that I got sick, they wouldn’t offer a refund.
I was shocked by this. I understand policies are in place, but asking for a doctor’s note over a dessert refund — especially one under $9 — felt excessive and frankly a bit invasive. I wasn’t expecting a full investigation or even a big apology, but I was hoping for a more understanding response.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share this in case others expect a customer-friendly experience here. Based on this situation, I personally won’t...
Read moreDecent pastries, but customer service needs improvement. Tous Les Jours has a nice selection of pastries and the ones I've tried have been pretty good. However, I recently had a less than satisfactory experience with the customer service. I asked the cashier if they could break a $100 bill, and while she was checking the register, another employee behind her muttered, "Just say we don't." It was quite unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome. While I appreciate that they may have had legitimate reasons for not being able to make change, the way they handled it was disappointing. Hopefully, they'll work on improving their customer service...
