Donut Star — Restaurant in Irvine

I'm going to start with saying that their food is great. I come for the donuts and always love the fluffiness of them. The rough part about going here though is the service. On more than one occasion I have gone, I have asked for a dozen donuts as a pick and choose. The first time they gave me their mixed dozen instead and my family doesn't eat any of the fancy filled donuts, and on other occasions they don't listen to which I was asking for. Would recommend checking that its everything you want...

The ham + cheese croissant was raw dough inside, so we threw it away. It can make you feel pretty sick to consume raw pastry. They have the baking temperature on too high and it doesn’t cook thoroughly. We got two glazed donuts that were good, but were clearly fried in old oil. You can taste it and it lingers until you brush your teeth, really gross. I’ll never go back....

Regular donuts. I ordered then at night. The cinnamon roll donut is enormous- too big. The jelly filled was glazed -so no for him. I liked the cake frosted with sprinkles and the glaze donut... but they tasted so average. Duck Donuts is...
