There are two peter Canyon trails. One at the regional park and this one, the hiking and biking trail portion. This trail is south of the regional park. It interconnects with other small parks and its trail swivels from street to street. Eventually, it leads to the river outlet and heads through South. The trails at the parks are many and are intricate fun and dirt paved for the most part. Along the river Channel, it's paved and dirt. Relaxing runs great bike trails .... I like to see billboards with more maps to visualize trail Update... links up to Peter canyon regional park. Side trails lead to park, through side streets. And walkways.

beginning of March and end of April the hikes are epic . Flowers amazing and best sunsets. Love this place. You have to watch out for cayotes, mountain lions, rattlesnakes and in 23’ came really close to two tarantulas. They opened a nice new trial near the portable potties near the jamboree side . Great trail .

Great little hike in the middle of the city. You can access this from various points throughout the length of the trail. A good place to start is near the Hicks Canyon Elementary school, or on the other side near Beckman High school.

The trail has two parallel paths, one is paved and one is dirt/gravel. Each one is on either side of the river basin so you can't just switch sides. You'll need to start on one path or the other.

It feels secluded even though it is close to the toll road and other big streets. You can walk along the path and some apartment complex buildings have direct access to the path, you can also exit the path at each major cross street and you end up directly on the sidewalk.

Good path to do a quick walk in the afternoon, or take the kids for a bike ride. If you follow it towards the ocean, it connects with other bike paths. You could technically go all the way to Newport beach starting...

Peters Canyon is a great trail to get some exercise in fresh air and nature. It's a fantastic place to hike with family, as there are everything from easy trails to harder moderate hill climbs. There are a good number of trails that loop off to the side of the main trail and some that require a moderate amount of uphill walking. There are lots of beautiful trees and a view of the reservoir from the hill.

I recommend going in the early morning during hot summer days. Bring lots of water and...
