Villa Market — Restaurant in Irvine

For students living in Villa Siena and Toscana Apartments who don't have a car this place is perfect to buy alcoholic beverages since the "closest" big supermarket that sell alcohol is Ralphs which is not easily reachable using just your feet. Too bad I didn't discover it sooner. It's like the luxury version of a convenience store. And convenient it is, for sure. But also "luxurious" and for that prices are definitely high. And it's not surprising considering that it's located under the super fancy condo "The Plaza". Was expecting a gas station style quick stop, but we were greeted with a gourmet experience. This store had vast selection of beer, wine, and liquor. We are talking about $10 bottle all the way up to $600+ first growth. Owner Stan is very knowledgeable and passionate about wine and whisky, we also enjoyed cup of espresso. Love the experience.

Different than almost all the other mini mart or liquor shop, they also had outdoor seating area beautifully decorated, you can enjoy your wine right away, will definitely come...

Crazy overpriced for literally everything they sell (100% markup or more).

Other reviewers point out that it's because it's "convenient", but it's really not that much farther to go to a gas station or across the street to buy your random drinks/chips/cup noodles, even if you live in the building.
