Overall Experience: A promising grab-and-go boba spot with strong tea flavors and quality ingredients, but the soft opening was plagued by long wait times, ingredient shortages, and poor order management, highlighting a need for better staff training and oversight. Location/Parking: Given the 99 Ranch and other food/drink places in this plaza, it can be hard to find parking during peak hours. Ambiance: Store front is medium sized with one manned register and one self service ordering kiosk. There is no place to sit, so very much a grab and go boba spot. Customer Service: The girl taking my drink order seemed to her job relatively well. I think better training needs to be done for the staff who are calling out numbers to hand out drinks because telling customers who have been waiting for more than an hour that their drink is being made or that it is no longer available because they ran out of that type of tea is just unacceptable. Management needs to work out these kinks in order to ensure higher customer satisfaction. Drink: Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (30% sweet, less ice, add mini boba) - the tea taste was very strong and you can tell they use quality milk as well since the drink with creamy and smooth. For 30% sweet it was definitely on the sweeter side and would be closer to 50% at other boba establishments, so just beware of that when ordering. It's great to have another quality boba place that carries good mini boba with just the perfect chew and sweetness. Value: Given that it is soft opening they were giving 10% off as well as free boba/mini boba so this brought the cost down. Extra: Also since it was the first day of soft opening there was a line of 15-20 minutes to order the drink and another 15-20 minutes to get the drink. However, while waiting for my drink to be ready I heard several patrons complain that they had been waiting over 45 minutes to an hour for their drinks because the store had ran out of ingredients needed for their drink orders. The person in charge of calling out drinks didn't really seem to know how to handle the situation and there didn't seem to be any manager on site to help resolve the situation effectively and make it up to the customers that were waiting long.

Alright first things first. My wife and I love the Wushiland chain. From drinking my first cup in Taiwan 10 years ago to frequenting their San Diego stores when we were dating, we've been huge fans of their milk teas and even had their black and green milk teas catered at our wedding 6 years ago. It's been a year or so since we've had Wushiland since we haven't gone to SD or LA recently. It's soft opening today, and being one of the first stores to open in the area, it got busy real quick with the line extending out the door with 30-40 people waiting in line. Small store next to Tofuking in the corner of the 99 plaza that has horrible parking. Waiting for drinks took around 20ish minutes. But again, it's soft opening so yes. It's extremely busy with new staff who haven't quite caught the tempo of a busy and efficiently run store yet. Will extend grace to the workers especially since I was a boba barista for a couple years and understand how crazy rushes can be. I ordered their black milk tea with boba and my wife ordered their lemon honey green tea with mini boba. I don't usually order boba with their milk tea but it was free toppings for soft opening so I took my shot. To be honest, both our bobas were bland. There weren't any flavors to them like brown sugar or honey, however the texture was great in my opinion. The milk teas and lemon honey tea tasted exactly like the other stores we've been to, and were 10/10. I probably won't order boba next time I go and will just stick with my typical boba-less black milk tea with 50% sweetness and less ice... ...unless they offer free toppings again...

If you are in Irvine and craving authentic boba, Wushiland Boba is the place to go! My wife has always loved their Green Milk Tea with mini pearls whenever we visit Taiwan. She only chooses mini pearls because it’s her only favorite. When she found out they opened a store in Irvine, we had to try it. We got the Green Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (both with mini pearls, no ice, and 75% sugar). To her surprise, they tasted just like the ones in Taiwan!! One thing to note is that they only offer one size—25 ounces (750 cc). Their pricing is consistent, though it differs from other boba tea shops that usually offer different sizes and prices. We are so happy that Wushiland Boba brought that familiar flavor here. Highly recommend it if you are a boba fan.
