We arrived at around 6p and there was just one couple in the entire restaurant. The young lady sat us down and took our drink order. I'm not going to talk about the entire visit because, quite frankly, it would consist of A LOT...!!! So, she brings our food, but we have no utensils. When she finally makes her way back to us (at this point, there are now 3 tables, with a total of 5 people between all 3 tables. Still not busy whatsoever) and I ask her for silverware she asks me if we would mind eating with plasticware. I asked why, and she said they had no more knives (I scratched my head, too). I was like, well, if we have no choice... she brought us plasticware, and we began to tear them open just as she brought the table who came in after us, silverware! When she came back to my table, I asked her, "Tell me again why we can't have silverware," and she said none were clean. I left it at that. The service was subpar, at best. The experience was not fun using plasticware, while other guests had silverware. She didn't give us napkins. She never came back to our table after telling me why we couldn't have silverware that last time... however, she sat down at a corner table with another young lady employee (no idea who this employee was) and just hung out. Now, all I could wonder at this point was, why aren't either of you back throwing some silverware in the dishwasher to get some clean for guests??? Needless to say, we were less than thrilled with our lack of, everything, during this visit and were more than ready to leave, but she's still just hanging out with the other girl, so we got up and walked to the front in the hopes that THAT will make her see we want to pay and leave! She noticed us and waved me to come to a register back near where she was, so I met her there. I was absolutely appalled because there on the counter was an overflowing bin of.... (see pictures) SILVERWARE!!!! We are regulars at this specific IHop, but that will no longer be the case! Why did she lie to us and make us use plasticware? Why was our order missing things she read back to us when she took the order? Why did she not once come check and make sure our meal was ok, or if we needed anything else? Why are folks these days expecting such ridiculously high pay, who clearly don't even care to work a minutes worth of time??? No, this establishment will no longer be our regular spot! Not to mention how we only had a 2-piece French toast with a side of hashbrowns, a 2x2x2, an orange juice, and a milkshake, and you tell me how THAT was $36.54???? FYI: The lady in the 2nd picture, with the silverware, is who she was sitting with for so long, just hanging out together while not checking on her tables or...
Read moreI would like corporates response on this matter - I have emailed and called, and even called again this morning for an update. PLEASE HOLD THIS IHOP LOCATION AND CEDERNAS EDWARDS RESPONSIBLE.
I placed a catering order through a third party for a corporate event. When the food arrived, I noticed we were missing a large quantity of meat, only one pan of meat arrived. However, I ordered 3x large party combos and 2x small combos. On the website it clearly states 80 pieces totaling 40 people/two pieces per person. The third party vendor spoke with Ihop regarding the missing portions and stated Ihop counted every piece out and it was correct. I went up to the location where the male manager (CERDENAS EDWARDS) pulled me to the back to his office, as in out of site of other guests. I did not realize at the time what was happening as I assumed were just headed to a kiosk where the servers were to further investigate. As soon as I stepped foot in his office, his entire demeanor changed for the worst. Cerdenas had already "done the math" and counted out each piece - he essentially brushed me off before I even had to chance to reason with him. When I tried to explain to him that each large combo comes with at least two pieces of meat based on their own website, I was met with a raised voice and clear frustration. When I further pressed on the matter regardless of his rage and questioned as to why the portions were all combined Cerdenas stated "it's for their convenience since they would run out of pans to utilize". I ended up having to purchase more meat to compromise for their lack of preparation. Ihop's Customer Service has this written down as and used it today as a "well obviously it was on your end if you purchased more", mind you, I was in a time crunch for a corporate event. Cerdenas had an all female staff of servers, their safety, and guest safety should be a top priority aside from quality of food and service. I urge corporate to reconsider who they put into a "management" positions as the ladies were more eager and willing to help. I'm adding the "large 3x and small 2x combo" meats that was allegedly 280+ pieces of meat. At the very least, we deserve a refund and sincere apology for the hostile customer service and largely...
Read moreI have been going to this place for years. This was once a decent location. But in recent history it has become simply a depressing dining experience. Sad really to see an IHOP in a prime location so poorly managed. Amazing that IHOP corporate does not realize just how detrimental this location is to the brand. I have tried to give it a 2nd.. 3rd.. and 4th chance but as of today I am done with IHOP as a breakfast option. I will not annoy you with my numerous poor experiences at this location but I will say that the night shift is just deplorable. Go into this place after 8pm and you will see what I am talking about. The first thing that will strike you as odd is the fact that very few people are actually there dining. In spite of the lack of patronage you will wait at least 15 minutes to be seated by a waiter that may or may not be adhereing to the brands dress code policy. You will wait another 15 minutes to place your order and another 45 minutes to actually receive your order. During this time you will notice that the table your sitting at is filthy. You will look around and see that the entire place is filthy. Your order will eventually arrive but it will be incomplete and incorrect. You will ask for management but management will argue with you regarding what you ordered. After you get past that you will realize that you have been served a plethora of cold, overcooked and undercooked food. Yes they do manage to fit all that drama onto your plate. You will leave most of it on the plate while waiting another 30 minutes to pay your check and leave. Meanwhile it is somewhat entertaining to watch this disorganized circus try and provide a service. But then these clowns just don't quite get there at any point in the process. I see the issues at this location as a leadership crisis. The problem can be fixed but you got to get rid of the Bozo...
