I can see I'm not the only one that has complaints about this Whataburger, it's horrible service, and even worse night manager. This guy is a joke, rude, confrontational, and racist. from the time we ordered and got to the window to pay was no more than 4 minutes. by the time we got our food, 45 minutes had passed. by the time we left, after taking back small shakes, when we had ordered medium, we had been there over an hour. In the drive through, getting food to go?? Ridiculous. Problems started when they asked us to pull forward to wait on our food. After 10 minutes, ther manager, a heavyset black man, whose name was covered up with his jacket, came out and asked my wife " did you pay?" They dont ask you to pull forward to wait on your food unless you have payed. We said Yes. He said " the screen in there is still showing $2.81" Ok, the screen he is referring to is their checkout machine they use inside the store, that one of his employees, Cornelius, who was working his first night ever at a Whataburger, used to ring our order up. The night manager, in his wisdom, walked out to our car to ask us if we payed and said there was still some money showing on his screen, instead of asking Cornelius, whose very first night it was, or checking the order on His machine. How is some mistake of $2.81 on their machine, made by a first night employee, our fault??? Super ridiculous. We showed him our receipt, he walked back in and said our food would be ready shortly. Another 20 minutes passed, and still no food. My wife went in, asked him about our food, and he said " you guys didnt pay for a whataburger" No, they still havent started on our food, and he never came back out to tell us we didnt pay for a whataburger. Why didnt we pay? Because we never ordered a whataburger. We ordered a kids meal, which it shows on our receipt, that we did pay for. My wife explained this to him, and he told her she had a bad attitude. LOL... Unbelievably ridiculous. Now its been over 40 minutes. When they finally brought our food, they gave us small shakes, when we had ordered mediums. When my wife asked this night manager what it showed on our order, he said " how do i know, i didnt take your order" Amazing!! I took the shakes in, and after 5 more minutes, this night manager came up to the counter, I explained there was a screw up, that we ordered medium shakes. He grabbed the small shakes, turned around, through them in the trash, and stormed off to the back. After 15 morer minutes, he finally made our medium shakes and we left. I was astounded. We were the only white people in there until 2 other white girls showed up. While waiting for him to remake our shakes, I personally watched him help 2 spanish gentlemen, and 2 other black gentlemen, and all of them received their food before the 2 white girls, who had ordered way before the other people showed up, and before he remade our shakes. Theres no need for or room for this kind of conduct or racism in a customer oriented establishment. I want to add that Cornelius, the tall black gentleman who was working his first night ever at a whataburger, did a fantastic job. He was friendly, fast, and will make an excellent employee. I ordered a patty melt through the drive through (a staple of this franchise) and I have to explain 4 times that I want an additional small fry (a sacrifice to my fiance). I pull up to the window to pay and I am asked which order is mine; you know a fairly normal question if there were many folks in line, but there was no one else in line so I am the only there. Fairly strange but not as strange as the guy typing in a manager code to access the thing and then using his own whataburger app to get himself points for my checkout. Then I don't get a recipient and asked to move forward so that they can bring it to me when it's ready cause the fries are still cooking (fairly normal, but it gets weirder). So I am waiting and he brings me my food and I say "ayo, where's my sweet tea?" And the cashier goes "ope, I forgot it. 1 sec". AGain fairly reasonable, except for the fact that I waited 5 minutes for him to bring me my sweet tea and also the fries that supposed were fried fresh were bone cold upon delivery. He had also given me a single ketchup for 2 big things of fries because that makes sense. Finally I get home and my patty melt that should have grilled onions on it has raw onions on it and is also mostly cold (it's a 5 minute drive from my house so it didn't get cold in the car clearly), so what on God's green earth were they doing back there for 25 minutes while I was waiting for my food? Like I don't usually rant about this stuff but this is the 4th time I've had bad service at this particular whataburger so like I feel obligated to say something. Needless to say, I am disgruntled with this location and it's services and food that it provides. I would recommend going to the steak and shake just around the corner from this place as they actually provide burgers and fries that are warm upon arrival. Read moreBefore my order was made, i asked Kacie the manager if my order would still come with the hash brown and drinks because i was having an issue with the app and had to go in and out of checkout a couple times to add my payment option. Then on the last time forgot to add the hash browns and drinks to my order(that comes with it at no extra charge). She then said it only come with the orders at no additional charge if you select it and said she could give me the items but i would have to pay for them. She refused to give me 2 hash brown and 2 drinks that should have come with my 2 breakfast platters without paying for them. I asked her if i could cancel my order so i could reorder it to select them items that comes with my order and she said she doesnt know how and that i would have to figure it out. And then continued to ask me over and over if i was cancelling the order instead of just making it right for an honest error due to the issues i was having with the app. I told her no, that i was reaching out to customer service for the error. When she brings me my order, i see that there are hash browns in the platter. I asked her if they come with the platter, she said yes and i was like ok, thats what i was asking. She said no you wanted extra. I said no i let you know my situation from the app and asked you if it still comes with hash brown and a coffee and if i could change it from a coffee. I said i never asked for anything extra. She said yes you did and then brushed me off with is there anything else i can help you with. Confused at her lack of customer service, i said huh!? She said is there anything else i can help you with. Um nope, just your name. As a General Manager myself, I was truly shocked at this manager’s service and how she had an attitude with me.
