La Morenita Mexican Cafe — Restaurant in Irving

Let me begin with the down to Earth Staff. They are very inviting and hospitable.

They know what they are doing, I have had about a third of the menu and have more than just a ”no complaints” and a thumbs up. I am more than happy to give these men and women a solid review. I give them 5 and a half Stars.

I work nearby and do lunch there, if it's not too busy. They see us, we the Hero's of the American Highway. They know we earn a hard dollar so they get us in and out.

I do have one major grievance about this great Tex\Mex spot: They're not open enough!

This joint is convenietly located near major highways. Located just off of the Loop 12 South Grauwyler exit. You'll have an easy time getting on your way after putting away some serious food.

This is a hidden gem of a taqueria in the Las Colinas/Irving/Dallas corner of town. Just off of Loop 12 and Grauwyler behind a gas station this is the sort of place that can be missed by most of the residents but should be high on any ones list for great "authentic" Mexican food. The staff greets you with a smile and some chips and house made salsa that is above par and definitely NOT made in New York City. I went there with 3 other friends and we were all surprised at the quantity of great food that we were served for lunch. The beef and chicken fajitas were both tender and seasoned well. Just happened to run across this place about a mile from a little motel I stayed at in Irving, TX and I am so glad I did. I had been at the Dallas Farmer's Market a couple days trying all kinds of food but was really wanting some hole in the wall Mexican cuisine, and listen buddies- this was it, I got the onion enchiladas and the tortillas were so delicious I could've eaten 20 of them...
