El Chilate — Restaurant in Irving

Hector was a great host and server. Very friendly. This is a typical Central American cafe/restaurant with traditional foods, including some Mexican fare as well. Food was good but not great. Pupusas were again good but not great. The slaw I've had before at other similar restaurants has been better.. they made my son Chicken Quesadillas. Again...they were good, but the chicken did not have a lot of flavor. I would return to support this nice place of business, but there are also many other similar restaurants located...

Over priced food and drinks. Food is cheaply made. Never have I paid so much for a bottle of soda from a hole in the wall restaurant. I paid $4 for a bottle of soda, and $11 for 3 tiny enchiladas that cane with a small scoop of rice and a condiment cup of what they consider beans. The rice is very bland, and the beans....what beans?? They gave me some soupy bean puree that had no beans in it and wasn't even close to being refried beans.

Complete waste of my money and lunch break. I don't recommend going here for...

Ordered 2 tacos To go. The guy In the front was so kind and explained the foods me and my sister had questions about. The tacos were great and given that I live close to this place, this is definitely gonna be my new taco place. The salsa is spicy as it should be, and the meat was so good! It was all made quick as well. Great service and so far good food. Can’t wait to try something new for...
