The food is mostly good and the employees are always genuine and attentive when they can. Considering the shortage in staff due to covid, which is understandable. As far as management goes, the lady that runs the restaurant doesn’t have a clue about customer service. My parents went for lunch one weekend and ordered the caldo de res, and before she did she asked if it was fresh. They stated that it was and so she ordered it. The issue wasn’t even that it wasn’t. She kindly asked if they could reheat it so it won’t go to waste because it wasn’t hot enough. The server said, that again, due to covid they couldn’t take it back to the kitchen which is understandable. So, you’d expect it to be replaced with a new one. (If you knew anything about taking care of your guests and decent service you’d know that.) Instead the owner/“manager” comes over and arrogantly states that she had to order another one and pay for both. Not to mention the second was just as bad. All in all it was bad experience. If ANYONE asks form the beginning to be honest about a dish DO SO. Personally, I’d go back to a place because of genuine hospitality and sincerity than them trying to lie about a dish then make the guest pay for something that is not true to the menu. Money is money and no matter what kind of clientele walks through your doors you need to stay true to your hospitality evenly. Speaking from...
Read moreI ordered the Tuesday lunch special. Ground beef stuffed poblano pepper with beans, rice, and iced tea for $8.99. Took a bit to be waited on and for the food to come out yet it was worth it. Food was hot, well seasoned, and the pepper was exceptionally good. Nice, clean place to stop in for lunch. Portion size is filling and the drink cup is huge! (Smart way to prevent running back and forth for refills)👍🏼 It's always funny when the waitresses pull a switch-a-roo on me. The first waitress speaks little English and I speak zero Spanish so the next face to come take my order is completely different. Um like 🤔Heyyyyy you're not who I was just talking to.😄 Only down side was I asked to add lemonade to the sweet tea. AFTER I had eaten and was paying the bill, I was told I would still be charged an extra $2.50 for the beverage because it has lemonade. If I had known that, I would have just gotten sliced lemon instead. I feel a bit cheated because I got the lunch special but didn't pay for a lunch special. Word to the wise, don't order lemonade in your iced tea...
