Does Taco Cabana hate me? Or does it hate everyone? Maybe if enough people leave terrible reviews Taco Cabana will change their ways? Let's start with this: I can't stop coming to Taco Cabana because I'm in love with the combination of flavors I get from bacon and egg tacos with the creamy salsa ranch. If any other taco place sold creamy ranch salsa, Taco Cabana would never see my shining face again. Four out of five times they forget something...and this seems to be a common theme no matter which Taco Cabana you visit. Last Saturday they forgot my bowl of rice. I went inside to tell them about it and they said, "You didn't order rice." I thought, "Well, do you make it a habit of charging people for things they didn't order, because a bowl of rice is most certainly on my receipt." I didn't say this because I didn't want my food to have saliva in it, especially since I'm here once a week. So I showed them my receipt and they gave me my rice. This weekend, I ordered my usual tacos and got my wife two potato and bean tacos. After they gave me my order, I looked at my receipt, which was correct. I counted the items. The right number of items were in the bag. I get home and my wife has potato and egg tacos, not potato and bean tacos. I protest that I had done everything right except physically open each individually wrapped taco to check the order. My wife says, "You know Taco Cabana. They always get something wrong. You should have looked." She's right, but why is it my responsibility to check what it's their JOB to do? And it would be one thing if they got something wrong once out of every 10+ orders, but they get something wrong virtually every single weekend. I'm not even a complainer. I actually created a Yelp account for the first time for the sole purpose of leaving a review for Taco Cabana (I then copied and pasted that review into Google). If you visit any Taco Cabana, please check your order. It'll save you a headache or 1,000 headaches in...
Read moreThis place doesn't even deserve one star. Service was the pits and the food was very underwhelming. We were given a number to display at our table after placing our order. We seated ourselves and waited. After our order was ready instead of a server bringing it to our table it was just left on a counter. My wife saw it and retrieved it. She knew it was our order because no one had ordered in front of us. No telling how long it would have been before it was delivered to our table. And its not like this place was busy at the time we were there. After retrieving our order I should have sent my plate back as it was warm at best and cold by the time I finished the meal. The enchiladas on my order were nothing like the enchiladas that Taco Cabana features in their product information and advertising. Instead of nicely filled and rolled enchiladas what I got were enchiladas with minimal filling and looked as if they had been flattened with a large spatula. Actually, the end of one of the enchiladas had no filling in it at all. This restaurant has been open a few years now. We visited a few times when it first opened but quit going because we thought it somewhat underwhelming then. We thought we would give it another try thinking maybe since we wanted to get something quick and we were right at this TC location. We thought that maybe things had improved since the restaurant opened but the reality is it has gotten worse. There is a new place called Gypsy Lime Taco Lounge adjacent to this TC. I have eaten there once and it is pretty good. That is where I will be going from now on. Disclaimer: I don't write restaurant reviews unless it is for a restaurant that is really good and I think the restaurant deserves recognition or the restaurant is really bad and I want to warn people not to go here. Don't go to this Taco Cabana. It...
Read moreI normally love going to Taco Cabana for breakfast, lunch, and / or dinner. I went to the drive-through this morning, which took 17 minutes to get to the order screen. Order my food, confirm what I ordered, and seek clarification to my order because the employee that took my order didn't sound confident about what was going on. Waited to get to the window. Pay for food, get to my destination, and when I open my food to eat it. The order is wrong, food is food im not that picky, forgive and forget. Which normally is not a big deal. Yet for the fact that I have ordered from this location around the same time since the beginning of this week. With each day getting something different from what I orderd, since Tuesday before I have taken the bag from the employee I have confirmed my order and have been looked into my eyes and was told that this was my order only to find out that it was not. And for tomorrow, I guess I will be the insufficable customer and check my food at the window. Because I still have a hankering for what I ordered and it is a breakfast item so I am not able to order it when I'm done with my business in the area. Besides that, the Tropicana orange juice has always been packaged and cold when I receive it. I know that this sounds like a man-child rant, I would not disagree with you, I am frustrated and just want the food I ordered that I paid my money with, and not to be lied to my...
