Calipso lounge and bar — Restaurant in Isabela

My personal favorite little kiosk in Puerto Rico. We stayed a week in Isabela, and another week in San Jaun. The lady working here every day took a personal interest in us during our time in the neighborhood. We were here daily for pina coladas and empanadas. I loved the beef and the shrimp epanadas. They're all delicious, not to mention affordable! We had pina coladas everywhere we went and these stood out by far. The effort and care she puts into the food at these prices is unbelievable. I mean she topped them with cinnamon, maraschino cherry, apple slices, whipped cream...and I think shaved coconut as well?? Other places in PR we were lucky to get just a cherry on top while paying more.

I really missed this place once we left Isabela. Hope to return one day. The atmosphere on a weekday during lunch is very relaxed. We were the only ppl at times.
