I visited this magnificent restaurant with my husband yesterday. Despite the Google reviews that spoke negatively about the wait and service, we decided to give it a try. This place is truly magnificent when looking at the theme of Harry Potter and the decor. It is truly a sight to see and a place that can attract many visitors near and far. It appears to be the only one on this island and even in the states, apart from the amusement you see at Disney World. So my expectation was that it would be well done and organized across all aspects, not just the decor or the menu. Edgar, our greeter/host, waiter, cashier, and busser, was patient, super friendly, and attentive to our needs, even though he was all alone. I was actually impressed that we didn't have to wait too long for our food, but there were several issues. Again, not by Edgar's fault or the 1 chef in the back kitchen, serving the entire restuarant. Our boneless wings were undercooked, practically raw, and the coffee apparently burnt before it could be brought to me. The restaurant got pretty busy as the dinner hours approached and I honestly just wanted to leave and not order anything else. Both being from the island, and living in the States, I've been to several different establishments and know how a business should be run. Again, Edgar and the one chef in the back did, I believe, their absolute best given they were practically running the show. I think as a business owner, and one that would want their business to continue running, I would ensure that my restuarant is properly staffed to serve the demand of customers, and so that the staff are not overwhelmed or ready to quit. I would hope that Edgar and the one chef there yesterday are recognized and well compensated for their efforts. My husband and I tipped them for their hospitality, but if it wasn't for that, I would have left the minute I saw how many tables were empty but still not cleared. When you run a business this unique, this popular, IT MUST, BE done well, and organized in such a way that your customers always come back. The pizza was delicious, but out of the 5 things we ordered, that's about all we could try. I hope the owner(s) fix the staffing problem and even work the restuarant themselves, otherwise, they wont be...
Read moreNever again. Overpriced food for underpriced taste. Buttebeer basically tasted like a caramelized sizzling water.
If you go on a group of more than 6 people, you will probably will have to pay a 18% tip. Sometimes they will ask nicely, other times they won’t.
Staff are pretty nice though.
Waiting for food? The cook/pizzero gets in at 11:30am even thought the place opens at 10am. Youre only able to eat breakfast and waffles before 11:30am.
We got there at 10:10am and our food was delivered at 12:23pm.
Calzon has caramel on the outside. Coffee tastes more like tea with cinnamon than coffee. La Ruleta de Luna will only be served with all the meats and cheese. Pasta dishes are ok but overpriced.
Eveything is just so overpriced for the quality of the food.
If youre going on a group of more than 6 people, brace yourself. We reached out to the Manager to let them know we were going, she told us that we couldn’t sit as a group because there were previous complaints from other customers, so aligning chairs and creating a table for a large group was a big no. We went in, didnt had a good experience with the place, afterwards we reached out to her and explained what happened and she covered herself by saying we never told her anything beforehand. We even have screenshots of the...
Read moreIt's a beautiful place with decor details that a big Harry Potter fan like myself can appreciate. That is the only good thing I can say about the place. Which is sad because I was looking forward to the experience. I called in advance so the waiting time was shorter. When I get there they serve the pizza in a to go box, no biggie, some places do that. They didn't give us cups or napkins. We went to ask for them and only gave us TWO napkins. Anyway, we go eat at the outside tables because it was too crowded inside and the manager came to ask if we ordered our pizza to go, because we couldn't eat there, something about not serving Coke bottles and other customers asking for them. They basically served us the order wrong and then asks us to not do it again? Not to mention the attitude, the employees gave a bad vibe since the phone call. Something they could do to better the environment is put some Harry Potter music outside too. The outdoors terrace is beside a house with a very loud radio with news on. As for the pizza, we could on taste the butter beer on the crust area, so I guess it was decent. I would love to come back when the staff is better trained in customer service. It's a great concept but they're selling an immersive environment that just...
