This was my first time eating at the Habit. The person running the cash register was incredibly friendly. She was patient with allowing me to figure out my order and even gave me recommendations. I ordered the Chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce, grilled oniions, and a side of fries. The fries were excellent, however, the sandwich lacked flavor. In fact it did not taste like teriyaki at all. When I returned inside to ask for a side of sauce, the person at the register asked me how my food was. I explained that it was not flavorful at all and she apologized and offered me more sauce. Read moreThis is the best place to stop for lunch if you find yourself in IV and are craving a burger. Habit was voted best burgers in the country for a reason. Simple and delicious. Plus, you can add avocado and bacon! I recommend getting the sweet potato fries. You won't regret it.
The only negative thing to say about this location is the lack of indoor seating. It's all outside in the shared space. It's not usually a bad thing except for those days that the weather isn't the usual great SB weather.
Bonus hack: ask for a half side of mayo and fill the remainder of the small container with Cholula Sauce and mix together. Use it instead of ketchup for your fries. You can thank...
Read moreKeep in mind that I am an In N Out type of person. With that said, The habit is absolutely a great alternative!!! Good burger places with competitive prices are few, this place is no exception.
The female at the register taking my order was kind and always had a smile. She is perfect for working the business front.
The combo meal was awesome!!! I ate it during my time of starvation and it was exactly what l needed. Every bite was amazing.
Bonus: there are cute little black birds that are looking for food in the outdoor dining area.
This place really deserves a 4 star average rating imo, but I suppose other people had really bad experiences...
