I haven't been here in years. The pizza has the same excellent taste I remember from many years ago. The prices can be a bit overwhelming if you like to eat a lot, but if you have the money to spend, it is completely worth every penny!!! This place really makes me reminisce back to when my roommate and I would order pizza almost every night from here, great memories!!! Woodstocks is literally one of the reasons I lived in SB county for so many years! You can't get better pizza anywhere else!
I think I've tried just about all the pizzas they've offered, including many of the limited-time ones. Some pizzas are better than others but I've never had a bad pizza from Woodstock's in the 10+ years I've eaten here :)
I had a negative experience here after graduating years ago. One of the guys in the dough making area just looked at me and sighed, "not another one." The business was mostly empty, so I can only imagine what he meant. I wish I demanded the peasants name, but unfortunately I didn't because I was with my family.
The best pizza in California is right here, 4 stars...because I have a strong dislike for the dough pleb. But I do like to watch as they make the pizza :)
Another bad experience. I tried to use a discount I've used a couple of times already. The short curly hair dude at the register rejected it even though the e-mail said there's no need to print it, only to mention it. The girl working with him at the pizza prep area even said to him to give me the deal but for whatever reason he refused to give me the deal, and wanted me to print it. I'm quite certain the owner/marketing person has been doing this for quite a long time; if they were worried about people using it without being on the mailing list, they would have forced everyone who used it to PRINT IT!!! Your job is to operate the register, not to judge.
I remember there was another guy who worked here awhile back. Woodstock was advertising a BOGO free deal. The guy working here absolutely WOULD NOT let me have the BOGO free deal, unless one of my pizzas were a size smaller than the other one; it's a somewhat common promotion the company does too!!!
Omg, I just realized that being mistreated or treated differently by the dudes who work here isn't uncommon. You need to do a better job hiring. On the bright side, they don't seem to last long, for some...
Read moreTo the shift lead who closed or was present around 10:30 pm on 4/20, I want to thank you so much for "believing me" when I politely informed you that my table had received the wrong pizza. We had ordered regular crust for two pizzas and received one wheat and one regular instead. I understand that accidents happen, maybe the somebody else's pizza was given to us, or maybe the kitchen made a mistake, it's not a big deal. There were no accusations and no upset, we just wanted to receive what we had asked and paid for. I genuinely do not understand where the attitude that followed came from, but it was incredibly strange and misplaced. The words used were, "Well the whole wheat crusts are kept in the back, so they wouldn't have gotten mixed up. But if you're saying that it is whole wheat, then I believe you." I'd really like to point out that I don't care about the layout of your kitchen, and I definitely don't care about your faith in me. I don't really understand why you proceeded to make me have to justify myself when the presence of both pizzas made the difference in crusts incredibly obvious. The attitude was completely unprofessional and honestly, super weird that a shift lead was using a such condescending approach to let us know that our proper order would be made. Perhaps it was to avoid apologizing for a mistake that we were never upset over in the first place. But if it makes her feel better: I apologize, Woodstock's representative, for communicating an error that forced you to have to stain yourself by walking into the back and asking the kitchen to remake a large pepperoni pizza with regular crust. I understand that completing basic job tasks can be incredibly frustrating so I don't even mind that you never...
Read moreI returned to Isla Vista for a soccer match at UCSB. Woodstock's is a short walk from the stadium after the game. Ordered my pizza online and on arrival it was waiting for me to enjoy post game. I love Woodstock's Pizza, have been a regular customer of a different Woodstock's location for 36 years, but I only get to visit this location occasionally when travels bring me to the Santa Barbara area. I ordered a medium half and half pizza. Side one BBQ Bird (BBQ Sauce with BBQ chicken, freshly sliced red onions & crispy bacon)- great pizza. Side two was a Isla Vista specialty, the IV Classic (Pepperoni, sausage, black olives, ‘shrooms and onion slices) - great pizza. Ordered a beer to go with it and had a very enjoyable meal. As you can see in the photo, the toppings were abundant and covered the pizza, making a great tasting pizza. The Isla Vista area has a great college vibe to it, as it is in the heart of the UCSB community. The restaurant has a great vibe to it, it was after 9:00 PM and the music, tv's and people around and in the restaurant led to a great experience. I even bumped into a classmate of mine from my college days picking up some pizza to go. Whenever I am in the Santa Barbara area, Woodstock's is a must...
