Visited on 4/26/2022 (long read but good) *The location can sneak up on you as it is near a large white monroe county government building and their parking is behind their place, be aware. **Please be patient with the staff as with many places there are staffing shortages
As a pizza lover whenever I see a pizza place I try and grab something they offer.
I got a Large 'Meat Lovers' pizza for $26. The pizza is roughly a 50-50 split between breading and ingredients, maybe less than 50 on bread. So, I would agree it is a good price for what it was, a GOOD pizza! The pizza is NOT too greasy or dripping, just a good amount from the ingredients and oils added to it. When you eat it, you can taste the individual ingredients (e.g. cheese, sausage, pepperoni etc.) and not be only tasting bread, it is all there. The breading does not fill you up after one slice like other "name brand" pizza places, even if this had some hefty toppings. Once you get done with the main section of pizza you are left with the CRUNCH! Not to hard, not to soft, not empty crust, it wont break your teeth when you bite it nor will you have to try and tear/rip it away just bite and consume the crunchy crust or save for later for dipping.
Lastly, I would rate this pizza an 8/10 and if I used decimals 8.5. While not perfect, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience that fills you up and can have...
Read moreAlright so this quaint pizzeria is a must stop on you're way further into the keys, and again on your way out. Plus maybe once in-between if you stay in the area a day or two.
If anyone reading this knows of and has eatean at steves pizza in south Miami, this place has pizza at least as good as there's, if not better. Seems like a small family owned place and it's definitely more family friendly then steves and honestly depending on where in florida you live it might not be much further then Steve's.
The toppings are plentifull and delicious, the slices are big but crispy enough that when you fold it in half it doesn't sag and you get a nice crisp break from the crust but it's still fluffy inside. New York style pizza indeed. There mozzarella is also ridiculously good. Actual cheese, a nice crispy flaky Italian style breading, a great marinara and the parmesan on was the cherry on top.
My son had the spaghetti and meatball (one massive one like 1/2 the size of the bowl almost) and loved it and he's hard to please when it comes to pasta.
The rest of their menu looked awesome and I can't wait to try their garlic rolls or calzones, as well as a couple pasta dishes.
In short if you like good food, if you like good pizza and authentic Italian, then Enrico's is worth the stop. It would be a shame to pass what I have to conclude is one of the 5 pizzerias below the...
