Get lost in the jungle. Island Home Nursery is a special spot along the US1 Scenic Overseas Highway. Just go for a walk here. If you are lucky you will meet the chicks, chickens, rabbits, dogs and maybe even a few native Keys folk. We go here almost every week. It’s on the road between home and school. They sell citrus trees!!!! And we love the idea of growing our own. Sadly out house is in a low place susceptible to flooding. We have never really had a ‘landscaped’ yard.

This garden center is a magical wonderland filled with eye candy. Every turn calls you deeper into this whimsical space. Clean and tidy yet filled with everything a gardener could want or need. All the plants are healthy and clearly marked with descriptions and pricing. Although you are wandering around under the canopy, when the outside temperature soars, there is a lovely gift shop where you can take a break from the heat of the day.
