Our Place in Paradise — Attraction in Islamorada

A wonderful place. The beauty starts when you first pull in to the parking lot. it is designed with these big beautiful trees. Peacocks are roaming the grounds so gracefully. then you walk in the door. It's amazing.The floor Is a beautiful blue color remind you of the ocean you feel like you're in the keys. That's the first piece of art is the floor. Then everywhere you look right there's beautiful handmade pottery, Jewelry, Paintings, Photographs. Each room of the building is a different style of art. The atmosphere is peaceful. And charming. There's actual artists that are working on projects throughout the building. From ceramics, To making stain glass pieces of art. You could spend a whole day just looking at all the different pieces all the different rooms. I highly recommend if you're down in taveneer florida you need to visit this place. Pick up something beautiful...

Wow what a MARVELOUS artistic experience! Made my month! Batik & water color class with Artist Gloria Avner was an exciting new way of doing Batik on Rice paper! A great technique! Gloria had a very calming patient way of teaching both the inexperienced AND seasoned artists while giving us a new look at this ancient medium. Everyone became a Van Gough for the afternoon & there were NO mistakes...only happy "Our Place in Paradise" not only shares & sells the beautiful works of local professional artists but gives ANYONE who wishes to try their hand at "creating" in various mediums a place to learn & grow! My advice...Just Go!
