Lobster Shack — Restaurant in Islamorada

By far, the worst service I’ve ever experienced sadly. My sister mom and I ordered their famous Lobster Rolls and waited an hour. Meanwhile, the entire time we sat there so did their two employees in the table next to us. The male employee even fell asleep at some point. After about 45 mins of waiting we asked nicely and woke the man up about when the lobster rolls would be finished and both employees replied, “10 minutes” so we waited. After another 25 minutes of waiting we got up and asked again and the man replied, “oh you guys want a lobster roll?”

We were so confused and showed him our receipt and said we had already paid and that’s what we were waiting on. I would understand if it was packed and busy and the ticket was lost but we were the only people there for over an hour. We were so looking forward to this place but ended up sweating our butts off for an hour outside waiting to ultimately never get our lobster rolls. We asked for a refund as we couldn’t possibly wait anymore in the heat. I love writing nice reviews and helping out local businesses but this was just the worst service I’ve ever had. Would I Recommend - ❌ HELL NO! Would I Return - ❌ NOT EVEN IF I WAS CRAZY!

First of all I didn't even get the opportunity to eat at this place and here's why...

So I made my way round back and realized...as the name suggests it's a little shack with a small menu and an order counter/window what ever you wanna call it. Decided on a lobster roll so I stood at the counter waiting to order. There was no one there so I waited for a bit. Finally a very essentric looking woman made an appearance...whilst on a phone so I decided to wait a few minutes more... Anddddd....I waited....🕛 And waited🕟....untill the woman stepped outside the shack to the area that I was, sat on a bench and continued with her conversation. No manners what so ever!

At this point I walked off and wondered why I even wasted my time waiting to begin with.

👉🏻Bottom line...I can't tell ya about the food but the service sucks and if the service is that bad...think of the impact of that bad service on food preparation.

🚫Stay Away and spend your money in a better...

So rude!! My family & stopped there because it had great reviews & said kid friendly. She was everything but kid-friendly. We stood at the window to order. When our 6 year old son gently tapped the bell, she very rudely said do not touch that, as I am right here. Then he walked away & stood under a tent of aprons to stay out of the sun. He played in the rocks with his feet. Next she asked him to move away from the tent, after telling us we could get food for our kids elsewhere.

We left! We actually parent our children & they’re well-behaved! Her unnecessary rudeness was just that, unnecessary! We left before ordering, which she never even said “I’ll be right with you!” Very put out by us even standing there! So...
