El Picante 2 — Restaurant in Iuka

We go here often. Often enough they have our orders memorized. Food is great, price is good, waitress could be more personable tho. The guy waiter, (don't know his name) he is awesome. 4 stars because last visit, the restaurant was busy, a large group was there, so me and my husband took our seats, fully expecting to have to wait. Waiting for the staff to get the big table because they were there before us. So it was no problem. We knew we had to wait. But the waitress passed our table off to the waiter and things got confusing from there. People who arrived AFTER us got there order and food back before we even got our sweet teas. I understand hectic days, but first come first serve right? Took 20 minutes just to get 2 sweet teas. Another 25 minutes for food. Like I said the wait wasn't necessarily the problem. My first experience here. Late ballgame, so niece called ahead to be sure we could get in. At nine o'clock she was told we could come in til 930. When we arrived at 910 they were busy.
