Manager was very rude to me and my family. Really doesn’t like their customers and then pretends that it is not their style to treat customers that way.
EDIT TO MANAGER’S REPLY: Firstly, NOBODY at the table was satisfied! How could they be when they watched long pieces of hair come out of our food right in front of them??? I don’t know where you got that idea since we were ALL explaining how concerned we were. And the fact that you think we wanted to take off everyone’s meals just shows how little you actually listen to your customers when they talk. Secondly, we only wanted the meals with hair to be taken off, not everything. The problem isn’t even with the bill… IT’S ABOUT THE UNSANITARY ENVIRONMENT! You, as a restaurant manager, you should be more concerned about keeping the space clean and healthy than worrying about replacing a burger or anything like that. There are absolutely no excuses for uncleanness in a restaurant! It’s a HEALTH CONCERN! The first time we saw a hair we were okay with getting a replacement since we thought it was just a one-time mistake. We didn’t know that it would happen again so I ate it. But when it did happen again, we wanted to get those specific hairy ones taken off (and didn’t want a replacement… I would never make that mistake again) which really isn’t too much to ask considering how disgusting it was. Also, on your reply you said “You (I) didn’t like something”… of course I didn’t when a hair came out of it! It wasn’t just a simple...
Read moreWe came in to eat and had a great experience inside — food was excellent and service was on point. Honestly, we were impressed. After our meal, we wanted to keep the day going by moving outside with some drinks. That’s where things took a turn.
I approached the outside host to ask if we needed to check in before sitting down. Her response? “You cannot sit at the tables, you can only sit on the side seats because the tables are for paying customers.” The tone and delivery felt incredibly rude, as if we hadn’t just eaten inside and weren’t planning to spend more money. It came across dismissive, almost like we weren’t welcome there.
I made it clear we would be ordering more, and only then were we seated — and yes, everything after that was fine. But the damage was already done. A host is the face of the business, the very first interaction people have when they arrive or move through different spaces. If that first impression is cold, jaded, or unwelcoming, it undercuts all the great work being done by the kitchen and the servers.
The food and service inside were great, but an interaction like that can ruin the overall experience. If it happened to us, I can only imagine how many other guests have felt the same way and maybe didn’t even stick around. That’s business lost, and...
Read moreGreat food and great atmosphere but a little disappointed with the slow service we recently had. We arrived to the brewery around 6pm on a Friday night and were told it would be about an hour to wait for a table if we wanted outside - we expected this, and didn’t mind the wait because it was a great atmosphere with the music and we were able to order drinks from the bar during the wait. it wasn’t until we got to our table that our server informed us “the kitchen is really backed up, you should order as quickly as possible.” That being said, we put in an appetizer and meal orders almost immediately upon being seated. It was well over an hour (closer to 90 min) before we received food, and our serve informed us she forgot to put in our appetizer so we had nothing in the mean time . We were only a party of 4 adults and 2 kids. All things considered, we still had a great time - food was delicious when it did finally arrive. We were just disappointed that it took so long; it also would’ve been nice to have been given a heads up about the kitchen being so slow before we were seated, we might’ve reconsidered eating at Union Bros if we knew it wasn’t until almost 9pm that we would get our meals, especially with young...
