Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Jackson

I don't know what it is with Jackson restaurants, but I've had more bad restaurant experiences in two years living in this town than I had in the decade that I lived previously in a nearby city. They just seem to go into a complete meltdown any time that they're moderately busy.

Dairy Queen today was a perfect example. There were four cars in the drive-thru lane, of which I was number two. Apparently no one inside is familiar with the practice of asking a customer to pull ahead to a carryout spot if their order is taking a long time and holding up the rest of the line. As a result, after we all waited for a very long time in the 90°+ heat for one person to receive their order, the girl at the window read my order back to me incorrectly. After she returned again, she said that they were going to have to start my order again because the manager had forgotten to start a timer and burnt one of my items. Now they remembered the existence of their carryout spots as she asked me to pull ahead and wait. After several more minutes waiting in the scorching heat, a girl finally brought out my order without so much as a perfunctory "sorry". I shouldn't have been surprised by this final part after their service meltdown, but after all of that I received a dry, scorched cheeseburger and a soggy, impossibly greasy fish sandwich, the product of their second attempt at that one.

I was too mad to even go back and say anything, I really should have known better by now. I just have to add Dairy Queen to the list of Jackson restaurants to which I won't be returning. I had the pleasure of visiting Dairy Queen recently, and I have to say, I was blown away by their exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive to my needs.

The team at Dairy Queen went out of their way to make sure that I had a fantastic experience. They took the time to answer all of my questions and provide me with expert recommendations on the best menu items to try. They were patient, kind, and genuinely interested in making sure that I had a great time.

But what really stood out to me was the level of attention to detail that the staff had. They were incredibly organized, and they made sure that every aspect of my order was done to perfection. They even took the time to double-check my order and ensure that everything was exactly as I wanted it.

And when it came to the food itself, I have to say, it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were spot-on, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. I could tell that the team at Dairy Queen takes a lot of pride in their work, and it really shows in the final product.

The worst customer service in all the fast food restaurants! The shift manager is rude and even tells the customer that the main manager is known for yelling at customers when they complain about quality of food, and or orders being wrong. This is the 3rd time I have got water for gravy...the "gravy" doesn't even stick to the chicken or fries! It drips off whatever you dip in it. When I explained what was wrong he said the only thing he could do was give me different gravy if I wanted to come back!!! So, let my food get cold so I can drive back out and grab what should of been in my order the first time. Then when I get back with correct gravy now enjoy dipping your cold food in the new gravy I had to make two trips for! Pathetic if you ask me. I order 4 dinners at a time this should never be an issue! I should never feel like they can't make it anymore right then come...
