How far they have fallen. Order not right. I said I did not want hot sauce. What did I get—Louisiana red hot sauce! Nothing but fat on the brisket. Deli style smoked thin turkey that I would never buy—wrapped folded over in plastic wrap! Could not even get a tiny container of bbq sauce for a pound of pulled pork, a pound of brisket, three pork steaks, a pound of turkey! Oh, no, I would have to pay for any bbq sauce! Whoever sliced the brisket obviously did not know what they were doing. Sliced with the grain instead of against so it was a stringy mess! So many other issues—-management hangs up on you and corporate never returns phone call. No wonder there are no cars in parking lot at dinner...

I typically avoid chain restaurants but Dexter’s is one of my few exceptions to the rule. Whenever my wife and I are in Jackson, we always make our way to Dexter’s and we have yet to be disappointed with our entire experience – the food, the service and the overall appearance. The food is always cooked to perfection and delicious, the staff professional/courteous and the restaurant is always super clean. I always get a half-side of ribs with two sides and I’m never disappointed. Normally we like this place. Today I was very disappointed. I went in for a pint of potato salad and a pint of Cole slaw to go. I waited 30 minutes and when I asked about it was told they were working as fast as they could. They were very under staffed. If I had been told it would be that long I would have just gone on without it. When she brought it out she practically threw it at me. I know they were working hard to keep up, but I was not the problem, and now will think twice...
