Wandered off the interstate to find good food at a non chain restaurant for a late breakfast. Friendly greeting, seated immediately in a booth for two ( there were plenty of regular booths open so why we were placed in this 2 person booth I don’t understand..). A pleasant young man greeted after we were seated and asked if we had our drink order taken ( we had not) and gladly brought our beverage’s quickly. Patiently we observed our waitress chatting with a table of ladies.. and still chatting… and still chatting. She then left the table of ladies and moved to a full size booth where 1 gentleman was seated and she continued to chat some more …then back to the table of ladies .. then back to the single man in the booth when my husband overheard him say “ perhaps you better wait on that other table “. Eventually food delivery was quick and efficient once our order was placed. Food was delicious and plentiful. Thank you for the yummy breakfast we were hoping for. Advice to our waitress… zip it with your “ friends “ …perhaps a nice conversation with total strangers would have brought you...
Read moreI took my dad there for his birthday. We had never been there before and people have told us it was good. I had biscuits and gravy. My dad had meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Our waitress was not very customer service friendly. I don't know if she was having an off day or if she was more worried about getting the bigger tip from the larger table she had. The busser for our table was more friendly and helpful than our waitress was. Our waitress never asked if we needed refills. Never asked if we wanted dessert. (I told her it was my dad's birthday.) She gave us the check and said she would be back to take care of it. She came back only to tell me to take it up front to the register. A few minutes later, the busser came over to take care of the check for us.
The food was okay. It was loaded in gravy. I mean loaded. The meatloaf was a little dry my dad said, but with the gravy, it was okay. Definitely too much gravy.
As a first time experience, it was not very good. We probably...
Read moreWent for brunch, just 2 of us. It happened to be Mothers Day, so they were pretty busy. Sat at the bar and watched the bartender keep her cool while she was SLAMMED making bloodys and mimosas. Sangria and more. When our food was served about 45 mins after we ordered. My hashbrowns were pretty much white. Being it was a skillet, the HBs make the dish. I tried them and though they weren't uncooked they were still a bit underdone and with no crispness they didn't have much flavor I was totally disappointed and the bartender noticed right away! She asked if something was wrong and I told her I was disappointed the HBs were done a bit more. She got someone to take them back right away. Came back prob not even 5 mins later and man, what a difference! Food was alright (I'd go back to try something other than breakfast), but the service was GREAT! Definitely going to go back again even just for the good service. Thanks to the female bartender working...
