First, all props for the amazing customer service! Says online they close at 8, and I pulled up with my family at 7:30. Many places are shutting down in that moment, or workers are noticeably irritated upon your arrival. We were greeted like it was the grand opening! This level of service is uncommon now, and the #2 reason I will return when back in town.
But the number #1 reason to return is the food!!! Wife and son ordered catfish sandwiches. Expected a piece of fish on a regular bun. However, we got a well seasoned, perfectly fried filet on a TOASTED hoagie roll! They were more than happy with their sandwiches, and I was a little jealous after seeing them. Only a little jealous though, because I ordered 3 Real Coneys. I believe the buns were toasted on the Coneys as well, but I was too busy devouring them to say for sure. Simple, yet flavorful and delicious.
What made the meal even better was how fresh and hot our food was served. We made one more stop before starting our meals in the car (about 12-15 minutes later), and our food was still piping hot. The sandwiches, Coneys, and a large fry cost us about $25... And worth every single cent! We live a little over an hour away, but Pryor's will now be an added stop whenever we are driving through the area. I want to try one of the desserts next time: either the apple crisp or sweet potato pie. Family wants to try their shakes. Do yourself a favor and visit this place. I anticipate you will NOT be...
Read moreI dislike to do this to black owned business but the lack of quality is concerning. Recently decided to give this restaurant a chance and I was left disappointed. Though prices were reasonable the food was NOT quality, presentation was lack luster and taste was poor. My order: lemonade, chicken fingers meal, 6 piece wing dings and catfish.
The lemonade was so watery and had no flavor
The wings and chicken tenders you could tell were purchased from Gordon’s and fried in old grease and pre used batter as they were a dark color and were not as advertised as the “wing dings” I thought I was getting instead I was served some jumbo wings.
What really solidified my disinterest was the catfish. Both pieces were small and different colors. You could tell it was fried in flour it was not a golded crisp , and I do not believe it was catfish at all but a perch or swai once again I was let all the way down.
Overall presentation 0/5 I understand the plastic to go plates to cut cost but my food was given to me in a fry basket topped with another fry basket which is not sanitary
Service : 5/5 greeted with a smile and welcoming attitude
Food 0/5
Based on my experience I can not vouch or recommend this as a eatery for...
Read moreI am from out of town and on a whim drove by this BBQ place on way to walk in neighboring park. After my walk, I decided to try it for dinner. It was past dinner hour and I decided to pull up. They only had the meat, coleslaw and potato salad. If I had my choice it would have been green beans and maybe some Mac, but I went with the ribs. OMG these ribs had depth, smoke and sweet and spicy and not too thick sause, tender meat that fell apart with plastic fork. The back burner sides were excellent, especially the slaw. All washed down with perfect homemade lemonade where you still can get a few grains of sugar at the end of it. I totally would have went for a 2nd walk, until I wasn't full anymore, just to go back and eat more of those ribs... it was so good. Go there, even with slim Pickens for showing up late, it was all better than great. Love when you find gold on whim. I...
