Waffle House — Restaurant in Jackson

Very rude employee and such a bad experience. I know everyone has bad days due to many things but it is never an excuse to be completely rude or should I say totally disrespectful as this young lady was. We were from out of town and had been at hospital with my sister for heart cath ...unable to eat all day due to procedures. My sister still had her admission sticker on her chest and wrist bands from hospital on...When we finally got discharged we were looking for a place to use the restroom and sit down and enjoy a meal before long drive home. Upon entering this establishment ..my sister was already headed towards rest room located to the right of entrance door when this person hollered out...we're not taking any dine ins...so my sister was already at bathroom door so I told her to go on but I wasn't looking for somewhere to do a to go order or I would have stopped at McDonald's drive thru orr any other fast food places literally within throwing distance of the waffle house....so I decided to look for somewhere else that we could dine in at....which by the way ended up being Catfish Galley. Anyway as we were exiting to leave that very rude disrespectful voice said and bathrooms are for customers only....at which point I lost all composure due to how completely obnoxious she was and told her quickly that we would have been paying customers had she had not said no dine ins along with a few other things that were just as rude and disrespectful as she was. Let me say I am not proud that I let someone get me to that point but I can promise you I treat people as I am treated. I am as easy going as it gets but can and will go ghetto if someone goes there first...and yes I said ghetto because that's exactly how she acted. This just transpired on 08/04/2022. So as of this morning I called and asked if I could speak to the manager regarding the situation. I appreciate her hearing me out but people need to be aware and report such behaviors....the kind of attitude that employee had ....has no place in the customer...

I had a bad experience with my family today morning, thanks to HEATHER. 😡 When we enter the only area available was the bar, we order the food and a few minutes later we served. At the time we got our food my wife saw the table 19 was empty so we decide to move our four children to move to the table so they were more confortable since the bar is not very appropiate for children (they are less than 9 years old). So when we were moving the food to table 19 Heather said "No that is not permitted, you can't do that " in shock I replayed "it's permitted!!" And said "No, you can't do that in a restaurant, this is a restaurant so you have to stay in the bar area because this is my area" and I said "It doesn't make sense!" After she increased her tone of voice repeating that we have to go back to where we where sat down. I was just about to leave and to different restaurant. But I calm down and decided to stay because my wife said we should stay. The table was empty during the time we stayed there, and HEATHER as she was a visitor she stood all the time talking with 2 old men customers (see the 2 pictures I uploaded). I deffinitely not coming back to that waffle house anymore. I have never heard about that rule she mentioned. And also is a noisey place to be, not a family...

Who doesn't like Waffle House! I've been going to Waffle House since I can remember, decades!! There's no such thing as a bad meal there. The service is typically impressive. I've almost never seen anyone just standing around, they provide great service, constantly cleaning and the team work at the grill side is amazing. Waffle House is my favorite place for breakfast but in all those years I never had a waffle. Well, last visit I did order a waffle. Gotta say, I've never had a better waffle. It was awesome! Another new try was the patty melt. Oh my goodness, never had one before, now it's a new favorite. Special kudos for the coffee. Most food establishments have bad coffee, like the brand is an afterthought. Waffle House has good coffee and my cup never goes empty. That's a major tip factor for me. Old coffee, no cream, no sugar, cold coffee ... The tip goes down fast because the server got the order, fresh coffee, cream and sugar. I don't see how anyone can not go to Waffle House....
