Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Jackson

I tried to place an order over the phone but it was very difficult to do so, while on site the staff was very friendly. I ordered various dishes. The traditional burrito was put together in a lazy manner, it was cold, and it didnt taste very good. The baja chicken tacos were also cold and lacked flavor. The tinga taquitos were actually pretty good, but I was surprised that the food took no longer then 5 minutes to prep which makes me think everything is premade, and reheated which is not really authentic. My biggest shock was the guacamole and salsa , which in my opinion is the most authentic thing to make and this tasted like pre made guac you would get at the grocery store. The drinks were pretty good and the restaurant was clean and well decorated with a nice mexican theme. I would consider this to be more of fast food tex mex then authentic mexican. Edit 10/07/22 So here’s the thing. There are now two Tulum locations and this one definitely takes second place. I ordered a cheese quesadilla to go, get home, only to find it’s barely warm, in fact the shredded cheese in the middle is cold. Normally, I would just put this off to it being near closing time, except the last time I went inside to eat for lunch (ordered the same thing) I experienced the same issues. The only difference is I’m now eating a soggy, microwaved quesadilla, I would have been better off making myself. I hate to admit it but, this is not the same Tulum I grew to love.

Waited almost 40 mins. Placed my order at 7:51pm. At 8:29 I asked the lady if I was going to get my food. (38 mins later) she goes back to the counter to ask the lady that took my order. I guess the paper went out in the back and they didn’t get it. It was an honest mistake. They said they were sorry and made our food. Im not a person that asks for a discount or even comp my food. I know stuff happens and we come here a lot and has alway been fast and great food. When she brought my food out she apologized and gave us a $25 gift card.
