Wing Mouth — Restaurant in Jackson

I have been a regular customer at Wing Mouth since they’ve opened and have supported their business frequently. My friends and I often gather in the Belhaven area on weekends to enjoy the outdoor space, order food, and watch the games. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the owners has completely changed my opinion of this establishment.. In the past we only experienced great customer service from their staff.

While enjoying drinks from the Good Bar & wings we purchased from another nearby restaurant (I didn’t think would be a problem since we purchased items from other businesses on the property) the owner, Ann Elizabeth Gillespie, approached us in an extremely rude manner AFTER making a sale to us and demanded that we leave the property simply because the food wasn’t from Wing Mouth. (If I purchase anything from any of the businesses on the property I honestly shouldn’t have to go anywhere.) She interrupted our group repeatedly, threatened to call security, assumed, and created a very hostile environment — all while we were peacefully sitting outside, not disturbing anyone.

As a loyal customer who has consistently supported Wing Mouth, I found this treatment shocking and unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we asked the co-owner, George Gillespie, for her name, he claimed not to know who she was — which came across as both unprofessional and dishonest. Also on video spoken very clearly if he denies.

This incident was unnecessary, disrespectful, and embarrassing. I will not support Wing Mouth again, and I would caution others to think twice before supporting a business that treats loyal customers in such a dismissive...

Wing mouth is a wonderful chicken experience. They have wings tenders and hand cut fries. They also have a decent variety of sauces to choose from. The service was very good and fast to be made to order. The atmosphere! What can I tell you about the atmosphere! Someone had the very wonderful idea to take 4 bungalows and turn them into the perfect night out spot especially in summer or fall. They have great seating and outdoor heating in some areas as well as some very nice outdoor furniture. Also there is a outdoor turf area with a well built outdoor stage for acts that come to the venue. Also in the other bungalows you have a bar and a ice cream shop as well as a indoor meeting venue. There is also a distillery across the street that has other restaurants in It also as well as other nearby bars you can bar hop to. The bar on premises with Wing mouth has alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages so even the designated driver can enjoy the evening.Great place to have a cozy date night or just explore a little bit. I know you are saying by now why only 4 stars. Well in my opinion the only downside is you can get more bang for your buck price wise at a place like Wingstop but all in all they are affordable enough and you really should go try them out cause the atmosphere is so intimate and different from your norm. Also would love to see more options on the menu down the line like chicken sandwiches or chicken sandwich sliders with a variety of sauce options. So go support small Jackson businesses and hopefully they will decide to open more...

Here to say that Wing Mouth has produced the best chicken tender I have ever had! Like, fall-apart-tender yet crispy on the outside with excellent seasoning. My husband shared the same sentiment regarding the wings. He loved both flavors he tried: garlic parmesan wet and asian sweet chile. The homemade ranch was out of the world, and the fries are like fancy steak house perfection. Truly excellent food!!

Located in this quaint little courtyard in Belhaven Town Center complete with green spaces for kids to run and play, a walk-up cocktail bar, an ice cream shop, a big screen tv, a brewery, and at least three (soon to be four) other restaurants on site, it’s the perfect spot for families, date night, a solo dining experience, friends… there’s always something going on and with the surrounding food and drink options there is something for everyone. My husband would say that a big plus is that you can take your wings over to the brewery to watch the game on the big screens. Can’t wait to try more sauces on my next visit which will...
